A Day in the Life
Monitor availability and field issues for Mobile applications and take a holistic view of the system health using dashboards in Firebase and Kibana
Categorize issues from the field to understand severity and impact to reach out to the right subject matter experts (SME) for assistance
Experience in managing critical incidents, leading effective postmortems and Root-cause Analysis (RCAs)
Experience in defining and implementing solutions for proactive incident detection, response, and remediation. ex. proactive monitoring, log analytics dashboards, self-healing scripts etc.
Measuring apps against acceptable risk tolerance using suitable metrics and providing SLAs to help maintain reliability
Gather and analyze metrics from applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve
A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
Strong verbal, written communication, including status reports, project plans, presentations and diligent in following up with the relevant teams to reach a solution
Strong organization acumen with the ability to communicate effectively to non-technical audiences
Self-motivated and pro-active with demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills Experience in a regulated environment
Well-versed with Jira and Confluence
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements operating systems components, software tools and utilities.
Determines systems software design requirements.
Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.
Generates systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree required
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Nice to Have
Previous success in technical engineering
Coding experience beyond simple scripts
