Process Automation Security Technician – (2202331) – Geismar, LA
Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to join our team. In this role, you will report to the NCG Controls & OT Security Engineer and will be responsible for maintaining the automation security platforms and systems for the Geismar site. In this role you will provide daily maintenance and troubleshooting for all systems that makeup the OT security for the Geismar site secure network (i.e. IDMZ, Maintenance Segments, network switches, firewalls, servers, workstations etc.). A secondary focus of this role during times of ebbs & flows of workload will include supporting industrial networking and digitalization opportunities and improvements. This includes working with peer support groups on new application security and connectivity as well as managing the site industrial wireless network

Formula for Success
Using your controls systems and networking experience you provide daily maintenance and troubleshooting for Geismar secure network.
Execute role request changes and denial of access request
Manage offsite backup process
Assist in maintaining system patching and anti-virus updates at the unit level.
Respond to cyber security threats and breaches
Train control system technicians on cyber security protocols
Maintain a high level of network performance, using key diagnostic tools.
Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…
An associate degree or certificate of completion in IT, Instrumentation, or Controls and minimum of 10 years of Controls System configuration experience in a petrochemical environment.
Demonstrated work experience in basic control system network troubleshooting
Demonstrated experience perform and loading DCS backups
Experience working with network switches
Broad-based, hands-on knowledge and experience with various types of DCS and PLC equipment and software.
Demonstrated experience communicating with diverse groups.
Preferred
OT network administration experience
Strong working knowledge of networking and security of automation systems
OT or IT Experience, networking, and database management
Experience configuring and monitoring network switches
SAP/R3 knowledge
