+ 1st Shift: 8:00am 4:00pm (Monday-Friday), some weekends occasionally but rare

**How will you contribute? Youll be:**


+ Leads the site materials operations for purchasing / planning or segments as assigned. Develops and implements materials strategies. Develops and maintains site production/operational plan and schedule. Monitors and continually improves processes and performance metrics. Resolves materials supply issues. Acts as main customer and vendor contact on materials related issues.

+ Review customer orders throughout the day and provide confirmed lead-times to Plant Manager.

+ Provide feedback about any product capability questions.

+ Offer information about inventory position and the availability to service orders.

+ Supply updates on order status and order tracking.

+ Acts as main customer and vendor interface on all materials issues. Develops and coordinates the quoting process and/or demand management process.

+ Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.

+ Create and communicate daily manufacturing production schedule to the production teams in both facilities.

+ Develop all material planning and production planning activities to support the goals of the department, site, and assigned market segment.

+ Responsible for all day-to-day activities pertaining to the operational plan for the site

+ Develops and coordinates the implementation of strategic materials initiatives.

+ Monitors and continually improves sites processes and ensure efforts put forth by site meet or exceed the objectives and performance metrics.

+ Investigates reasons for any materials-related line down situation. Ensures the accuracy of critical data within the ERP system

+ Optimize production schedule to maximize efficiency of the operations team.

+ Assist Plant Manager in creation of monthly production plan.

+ Lead daily production schedule meeting with the Plant Manager

+ Acts as main customer and vendor interface on all materials issues. Develops and coordinates the quoting process and/or demand management process.

+ Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor

+ Work with Plant Manager to establish and continually update work cell production rates.

+ Interact daily with the Strategic Sourcing Manager and each facility's Supply Chain Lead to ensure required raw materials and finished goods are present to ensure order on-time shipment.

+ Ensure accurate and reliable communication takes place between the production teams and the customer service team regarding open order status, estimated completion times, and current back log (lead time).

+ Assist in daily reviews of new orders to ensure raw material inventory availability.

+ Support and participate in annual physical inventory.

+ Communicate new custom manufacturing/outside processing orders to each facility's Supply Chain Lead.

+ Support new product development through the planning process of newly manufactured items.


**Software Skills**


+ ERP key end user and resource (Navision, BPCS, SAP)

+ Create new item numbers for Raw Materials and Finished Goods as well as associated BOM and routings.

+ APICS certification preferred

+ Use Microsoft Office to support supply chain and manufacturing needs and communication.


**Your Key Qualifications as a Production Planner**


+ Bachelors Degree required Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience equivalent and 3 to 5 years related Supply Chain experience related to Materials Purchasing and Production Planning

+ APICS certification preferred.

+ Thorough knowledge of SAP (PP/PU modules)

+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policy and procedure documents.

+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

+ Availability for off -hours calls

+ Ability to work well under pressure, manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines with strong follow through

+ Extensive budget management experience, forecasting and financial planning

+ Skilled in managing projects and cross-functional teams with a broad range of engineering and technical disciplines

+ Broad experience with manufacturing and planning systems and methodologies

+ Detail oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills

+ Availability for off-hours calls

+ Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, managers, vendors, and customers.

+ Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages.

+ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

+ Advanced PC skills.

+ Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

+ Proficient Verbal and Written English.
