Project Geologist
Intertek PSI, is searching for an Project Geologist to join our Building & Constructionteam in our Schenectady, NY office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry!
What you'll do:
Directly responsible in the management of projects which may include various hazardous materials, such as petroleum, PERC, oils etc. at commercial / industrial facilities
Managing Environmental Site Assessments - ASTM Phase I/II Experience
performing & Managing soil, groundwater and soil vapor intrusion assessments
Self-performs or directs junior staff in the installation of soil borings, monitoring wells, remediation activities, waste management and disposal, and other field requirements using standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Interact with State Agencies such as DEC and DOH
Assists with proposal development and report writing.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or a related discipline is required
4-6 years of environmental consulting experience required
Working knowledge of NYSDEC & DOH soil, groundwater and soil vapor regulation/guidance required
OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER Training is required
P.G. / P.E. registration is preferred
Must be detail-oriented, and a team player with excellent communication, analytical, organization, and time management skills
Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record (required)
