The Quality Analyst will join the Population Health Management team and work closely with the Quality Improvement Specialist. The Quality Analyst is analytical but also knows how to use data to tell a story. The analyst will coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to use data to inform improvements across the VBSO and report on practice quality measures.
The Quality analyst will be an active member of project teams and will provide groups with applicable data, charts, and graphs to inform decisions. The analyst will need to be an expert in multiple data sources as well as the interpretation of that data.
The quality analyst will work closely with the Quality Improvement Specialist around practice revenue cycle operation
Responsibilities:
Works with teams, stakeholders, internal and external leaders to gather requirements, develop metrics, retrieve data, and ensure the validity of the results.
Recommends and tailors data solutions to the team's needs, such as dashboards, reports, business, intelligence tools, etc.
Uses data analysis to measure processes and outcomes.
Develops data strategy and models to monitor contract measures and requirements for practices
Demonstrates data storytelling skills by leveraging the appropriate amount of data, at the appropriate granularity to guide teams in decision making.
Demonstrates the ability to simplify findings in a manner that is understood by various levels of associate
Collaborates closely with VBSO data/analytics, enterprise data warehouse, data governance, clinical informatics and business teams
Qualifications:
Master's degree in data science, epidemiology, or related field preferred
3+ years of experience in analytics
Experience with data visualization tools preferred (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, etc)
Experience with Healthy Planet and Slicer Dicer preferred
Experience with revenue cycle operations in healthcare required
Experience with Quality improvement initiatives
IHI Education preferred
