**Job Description:**
Duties:
+ Analyze detailed business/functional/technical requirements and specifications for Global Banking Asset Management Specifications.
+ Identify and evaluate internal organizational needs, conduct requirements, gather and define project scope and objectives and ensuring all items are tracked responsibly.
+ Design, create, and implement internal applications and/or configure commercial-off-the shelf, and open-source, applications as required.
+ Develop and deploy high-velocity, multithreaded, real-time data processing back-ends that interact with the banks data warehousing systems and any required visualizations upon aforementioned data.
+ Use Java, J2EE, Multithreading, File IO, Distributed Programming and Rest APIs to write backend software. Use Apache Storm Clusters and Kafka messaging to stream and interact with extant internal data queues.
+ Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software and developing technical documentation to guide future projects.
+ Write complex interactive front-end visualizations that connect with aforementioned APIs, messaging systems, UNIX based applications and display different data sets to different internal teams, through parameter ingestion.
+ Interface, collaborate and coordinate with internal external teams to create automated regression suites and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
+ Design, implement, execute, and monitor testing plans, quality control processes as required while maintaining quality standards.
+ Lead and/or contribute to a cross-functional teams with responsibilities to multiple line of businesses based on regulatory needs.
Requirements:
+ Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field from a top-tier university, or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science with two years of industry-related experience.
+ Must include a minimum of 2 or more years of experience in several of the listed technologies: Java, J2EE, Multithreading, File IO, OOP, Distributed Programming, Rest APIs, JavaScript, Asynchronous Requests, RESTful API architecture, jQuery, Unix, cUrl, SQL, Groovy, Git
+ Experience being methodical and detail oriented, with solid analytical skills and problem solving ability while being a good person to work with, get along with others, and are able to work effectively in a team
Nice-to-haves:
+ Knowledge of the following technologies and tools: Python, Pandas, Flask, Numpy, SciPy, Block Chain experience-Solidity, Apache Kafka, AMPS, React, d3, Shell-scripting, IntelliJ, DBeaver, Jenkins, Autosys
+ Exposure and advanced knowledge of Fix Messaging Protocol.
+ Experience working on the tech side of large multinational Bank, specifically in the Global Equities Tradeplant, and with Electronic Trading Technology and/or Engines. Experience with regulatory bodies (e.g. FINRA) a plus.
+ Customer service standards and/or other professional experience communicating with clients and/or vendor systems.
Responsible for testing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes. Ensures that software is tested to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Helps condition and generate test data, builds and executes both manual and automated test suites, record and communicate the test results, and assist with triaging defects. Ensures regression test suites are maintained and well designed. Develops detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Leads test planning, usually at a team level. When part of a Scrum team, ensures stories are well refined and contains clear acceptance criteria. Ensures in-scope and out-of-scope items are clearly identified during test planning. Implements the test framework for the team. Leads test case reviews and works with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure test coverage. Identifies automation opportunities and develops test automation for applicable test types. Helps condition and generate test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments. Assists in identifying and managing sensitive test data. Designs test data and ensures data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments. Assists in identifying and managing sensitive test data. Executes test cases, including manual and automated tests, and records test results. Reports issues and defects along with the appropriate background information for review. Participates in triaging reported issues/defects and assists with resolving or escalating them as necessary. Creates and manages traceability. Traces tests forwards/backwards through the development lifecycle and back to requirements. Uses testing tools and follows processes to complete testing on a given test environment, and assists with fulfillment of necessary steps required to promote code base to higher level environments. Maintains and catalogs test suites across test types (Smoke, Integration, Regression, etc.) Individual contributor.
