**Job Description:**



In the over-sight role, the candidate brings a testing mindset to the team, and is responsible for ensuring all testing functions support the delivery of complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes. This role is responsible for testing and delivering complex software to accomplish business outcomes. These individuals are subject matter experts on testing practices ensuring that software is tested to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements. They help condition and generate test data, build and execute both manual and automated test suites, record and communicate the test results, and assist with triaging defects. They also ensure regression test suites are maintained and well designed.



**Key Responsibilities:**



+ Ensure in-scope and out-of-scope items are clearly identified during test planning.

+ Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.

+ Lead test case reviews and work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure test coverage.

+ Identify automation opportunities and develop test automation for applicable test types.

+ Help condition and generate test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments. Assist in identifying and managing sensitive test data.

+ Execute test cases, including manual and automated tests, and record test results.

+ Report issues and defects along with the appropriate background information for review

+ Participate in triaging reported issues/defects and assist with resolving or escalating them as necessary

+ Create and manage traceability. Trace tests forwards/backwards through the development lifecycle and back to requirements

+ Support software code releases, ensuring adherence to all applicable change management policies and procedures

+ Vocalizes risks in a timely manner and escalates appropriately



**Required Skills and Experience:**



5+ years of proven software testing experience



+ Deep understanding of the software development and QA life cycle processes (including test planning, test case design, execution, defect tracking and reporting)

+ Strong experience within the Agile Methodology.

+ Strong knowledge of tools such as qTest/HP ALM, JIRA, neo4j

+ Experience writing and executing detailed test cases, test plans, and test design documents

+ Proven ability to work on testing projects of all sizes

+ Functional testing and database testing experience.

+ Strong SQL scripting / ETL testing skills

+ Strong competency in requirement analysis, prioritize tasks, identify risks

+ Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.

+ Adaptive, flexible, and comfortable working in a matrix environment as a Sr. team member or an individual contributor.

+ Prior experience in Automation testing (QTP/Selenium/TOSCA)



**Desired Skills and Experience:**



+ Experience testing enterprise data science applications

+ Experience performing data testing including data products

+ Previous development experience with neo4j and angular

+ Familiarity and experience working with various testing levels such as unit testing, integration testing, functional, regression and end to end system testing

+ Highly motivated, able to work independently

+ Effective collaborator with both non-technical and technical team member

+ Strong problem solving and analytical skills

+ Familiar with Database/ETL testing requirements

Helps condition and generate test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments. Assists in identifying and managing sensitive test data.
