Position Summary
Samsung Network teams objective is to provide a simple solution to the most complex telecommunication problems. Were seeking a highly experienced engineer in the Network Analytics and RAN domain. As a member of our Samsung Network team, you will focus on solving RAN problems and optimization, by streamlining the way data is produced, consumed, analyzing processes, workflows, and systems with the objective of identifying opportunities for improvement and automation. Our ideal candidate is comfortable working with all levels of management to gain an in-depth understanding of our strategy, solution, and services. From day one, you will have an impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of 4G & 5G RAN, and a lasting influence on our growth plans.
Role and Responsibilities
Objectives of this Role
Improve, execute, and effectively communicate analysis that identify meaningful trends and opportunities in the 4G and 5G RAN domain
Participate in regular meetings with management, assessing and addressing issues to identify and implement improvements toward efficient RAN operations
Provide technical analytic decision support to CSP (Communication Service Provider) operational and business needs
Develop actionable roadmaps for improving existing solutions, operational needs, and processes. Introduce new solutions based on analytics to meet and improve customer operational needs
Responsibilities
Help our customers to understand the data, analyze results using analytics, research methodologies, and help in creating new solutions
Develop and implement data analysis, and interpreting data involving company procedures, policies, and workflows
Prepare, analyze, and summarize various periodic operational results for use by various key stakeholders, creating reports, specifications, and recommending new technical solutions
Design, develop, execute, and manage analytics projects, including extracting, modifying, and exporting data based on project requirements
Takes the lead in technical Q&A for Samsungs 4G & 5G RAN software features.
Develops deep relationships within customers network business at multiple levels of the technical organization and nationwide market; Establish/maintain trust and rapport as the SME for technical network solutions. Create proposals based on new and existing contractual agreements.
Skills and Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in Telecommunication
15+ total years of experience within the Wireless/Networks technology industry (Radio / RF engineering, LTE Design, Wireless Network design, RF Planning, etc.); 5G RF planning experience is desired. Hands-on experience with Radio; knowledge/understanding of end-to-end network.
5+ years of experience hands-on experience with Radio/RF planning and working with LTE and 5G in a hands-on capacity or consultative design capacity.
3+ years of experience in a customer-facing role. Must possess the ability to analyze, interpret, and present (including presentation creation) wireless systems technical products and development materials to both internal and external stakeholders.
Must possess the ability to thrive in a highly dynamic cross-functional environment (partnership across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Global HQ, etc.) and navigate a complex customer stakeholders and business unit
Proficiency with analytics functions and or/ RAN automation, SON
Experience with 5G RIC (RAN Intelligent Controller RT RIC & Non-RT RIC) or 5G-NWDAF
Good understanding of open interfaces such as A1, O1, and O2.
Experience with rAPPs/xAPPS development a plus

Demonstrated ability to interact at multiple levels within customers organizations. Negotiate with and convince others, in a potentially adversarial environment, including customer directors, managers and staff with opposing views to accept/approve plans, technical and project recommendations. Make professional technical sales presentations in writing, through email, reports, or orally, to an audience of high technical skills, management and operational experience. Ability to achieve results within established time frames and requirements. Develop accurate proposals and designs to meet customer needs.
