Join a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex systems for avionics products within Honeywell Aerospace. You will be integral in creating mechanical solutions for Radar Product Team that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will design products to meet customer needs, product quality, manufacturability, new product development, prototype builds, testing, and may serve a project manager role for smaller development projects. You will develop the product designs necessary to drive product improvement and will be integral in securing present and future business by consistently meeting or exceeding Voice of Customer requirements.

YOU MUST HAVE
· Bachelor€™s Degree in engineering
· 6+ years of electronics packaging experience
· Due to export control regulations, this position requires US citizenship status

· Some experience developing products or sustaining existing products
· Experience with Aerospace Avionics design, configuration control and certification processes
· Knowledge and/or experience with RTCA - the Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics (RTCA/DO-160) and ARINC -Aeronautical Radio, Incorporated (ARINC 600) industry specifications
· Knowledge and experience designing products for aircraft and in uncontrolled environments.
· Knowledge and experience designing mechanical motion devices, gears and geartrains, bearings, motors resolvers, and related assembly processes.
· Knowledge and experience analyzing geartrains, bearing loads, and motion component reliability
· Knowledge and experience designing mechanical packaging around RF discrete electronics (transmitters, receivers, antennas, etc)
· Broad knowledge of designing for metal and plastic parts fabrication processes (machining, sheet metal, castings, injection molding, etc)
· Familiarity with designing and documenting tight tolerance machined aluminum parts
· Experience with tolerance analysis and statistical techniques.
· Good understanding of GD&T
· Experience with PTC/Creo large assembly 3D Modeling and Drafting experience
· Working knowledge of design analyses (thermal, structural, modal vibration) and related software
· Specific knowledge of electronic equipment, printed circuit boards and related assembly processes
· Experience with RCCA processes
· Knowledge and experience with Design for Manufacturing and Cost
