**About Role**


The IT Business Senior Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.


+ The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating and helping to execute on the day-to-day technical work needed to define, design and develop our CWM platform.

+ Candidate would need to be extremely knowledge and hands-on in business, global Confirmation technology.

+ Understanding the business area and user requirements - Study and understand the existing programs.

+ Performing program design, architect, coding and Development - Performing unit and integration testing.

+ Producing documentation based on the company's standards.

+ Evaluation and Recommendation for new technologies and updating versions of existing ones.

+ Design reusable frameworks - Environment management and layout design.

+ Unified Development environment (Developers systems as well as servers) - Continuous Integrations Building/maintaining.


**Responsibilities:**


+ Technical SME responsible for coordinating and helping to execute on the day-to-day technical

+ work needed to develop and support the CWM (Confirmation platform) initiative globally.

+ Will be working closely with the US team members to manage, plan, define and execute new development and enhancements.

+ A mix of analysis, design and coding skills along with ability to talk directly with users, vendors, technology partners and all levels of Citi distributed teams.

+ Drive strong engineering culture and innovation across the team globally.

+ Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas

+ Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users

+ Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards and make evaluative judgement

+ Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality

+ Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems

+ Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes

+ Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts

+ Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

+ Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

+ Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


**Skills Required**


+ Minimum 8 year hands-on coding experience.

+ Working knowledge of financial products across a wide spectrum of asset classes

+ Strong familiarity in working within an offshore/Onshore Team

+ Good hand-on technical execution, technical design and execution skill

+ Basic knowledge on UNIX and shell scripting

+ Basic understanding of financial market concepts

+ Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership and accountability

+ Flexible, hands-on "doer", able to cope with changing requirements / time constraints

+ Experience in working on multiple releases in parallel and following Agile


**Methodology.**


**Technical skills**


+ Advanced Java and J2EE frameworks.

+ Spring, Hibernate, Microservices, Kafka

+ Unix scripting, Oracle PL/SQL

+ Knowledge of AWS, Docker , ECS (Good to have)

+ smartGWT / ReactJs or any UI framework (Good to have)


**Non-technical skills**


+ Strong in technology concepts and best practices.

+ Excellent analytical with the ability to resolve complex issues

+ Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.

+ Act with sense of urgency.

+ Willing to learn new technology and contribute.

+ Knowledge of banking, financial markets is desired.

+ Ability to work independently and in a team.

+ Strong communication and soft skills.


**Qualifications:**


+ 8+ years of relevant experience

+ Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications

+ Experience in managing and implementing successful projects

+ Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods

+ Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements


**Education:**


+ Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
