Position Description
TheSenior Assistant Registrar for Scheduling and Freshman Registration shares responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, privacy and security of all academic records and the scheduling of classrooms and course scheduling. The Senior Assistant Registrar for Scheduling and Freshman Registration works together with the Associate Registrar to ensure compliance with published policies and procedures while providing outstanding customer services to students, staff, faculty and the larger community.
Job Responsibilities:
Corresponds with Deans, Department Chairs and Faculty in determining course offerings, final exams, and classroom assignments
Using appropriate software, manages and maintains course information in Workday andScheduling software
Assists in resolving systems issues pertaining to course offerings, classroom assignments, final exams and registration
Provide analysis and reports on classroom utilization
Develops training and documentation for Workday andSchedulingsoftware
Performs data scrapes and uploads using Workday andScheduling software
Serves as primary source of information to Stevens community concerning classroom assignments, final exams, and scheduling
Oversees and manages automated freshman registration process working with Deans and Department Chairs utilizing Workday andschedulingsoftware
Creates new courses approved by Curriculum Committees
Configures settingsand verifies dataensuring classroom scheduling and freshman scheduling are resolved promptly
Monitors the course schedule and makes recommendations based on enrollment
Provides reports and analytics regarding course schedule to departments using Workday and scheduling software
Responsible for supervising and training Student Records Coordinator(s)- Scheduling regarding Registrar processes.
Assists with implementation of new functions/processes in the Registrars Office
Other duties assigned as needed
Requirements Education/Experience:
Bachelorsdegree required
Prior experience working in aRegistrarsOffice
Experience with course scheduling and classroom scheduling preferred
Experience with scheduling software preferred
SQL experience a plus
Preferred Skills:
Record retention policies
Date privacy policies and procedures (FERPA)
Strong computer software skills
Experience in Student Information Systems
Ability to work independently on multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to manage, direct and multitask
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Extreme attention to detail
