As the Senior Associate, Formulation Technology you will be responsible for the development of formulations designed with superior on-skin performance.
We are looking for a very curious scientist who will have the opportunity to development advanced formulation methods, new formulation development, development of intellectual property, and external partner engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Formulation Development
Develop and deliver new skin science formulations and technologies to be applied to global portfolio.
Develop new formulations exploring technologies to improve the efficiency of active ingredients through the use of co-formulants and synergists
Develop skin-focused formulations, assessing technical feasibility and risk.
Design and execute lab experiments to assess the performance of prototype formulations
Develop quality and specification processes for performance aspects
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
BS in Chemistry, Cosmetic science, Pharmaceutical Formulation, Chemistry or Biochemistry and a minimum of 2 years of formulating consumer products
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Demonstrated track record of developing and commercializing consumer-preferred solutions.
Understanding of the functional properties, proper use, and the environmental impact of common formulation ingredients
Experience developing cosmetic or skin care products
Scientific aptitude & curiosity, and the ability to solve technical problems related to formulation
Provide innovative ideas and knowledge with a high degree of integrity, speed, and a results-oriented approach
Possess an understanding of regulatory processes (i.e., EPA registrations); experience
Knowledge of the product development process and experience related to various formulation and delivery system technologies related to products (e.g., aerosol formulation, emulsion chemistry, gel formulation, polymer chemistry, reaction products, surfactants, solvents, builders)
Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate accurately and concisely to multiple levels within the company
Experience with formulating green and sustainable chemistries
Background in skin barrier, permeation and dermal sensitivity studies
