In the current economic climate, there have been an unprecedented number of business failures, financial frauds and accounting irregularities. These and other events have resulted in regulatory interventions, investigations, financial restatements and a significant number of lawsuits. Dealing with matters of a complex nature requires a broad range of skills and experience.
Our Disputes & Investigations team is pan European with teams in Paris, London, Munich, Frankfurt, Geneva, Athens, Madrid and Zurich. We have worked on some of the most significant, high-profile matters in the investigative and disputes area across many European countries and beyond.
Our practice is a leading provider of Forensic Accounting & Investigations, Forensic Technology, Dispute Advisory, Cyber Risk Management, and Privacy & Data Compliance services.
The firm has an established reputation for high quality work in a non-Audit environment. Our approach is characterised by a high level of objectivity, diligence and intensive analysis.
We are currently seeking to recruit a forensic accounting professional to be based in Geneva to support our Disputes & Investigations practice in Switzerland and across Europe.
The successful candidate will;
Work on a variety of missions within Switzerland and internationally
Use forensic accounting skills to investigate fraud and other financial misrepresentation
Assist with compiling, analyzing, and documenting information in an investigation, dispute, or accounting related matter
Assist in the performance of complex financial models and analyses
Assist with drafting reports and other client deliverables
Assist with researching technical and industry specific issues
Develop and suggest solutions to complex problems by thinking "outside the box"
Balance multiple client projects and other responsibilities
Communicate effectively to all levels of engagement management
The successful candidate will have a balance of the following skills:
University degree, ideally accounting background
Qualified Accountant ideally - CPA designation/eligibility preferred
Fluency in French & English is required
Two to six years of experience in audit and/or a forensic and dispute consulting practice
Ability to work to tight deadlines in combination with a positive attitude, energetic approach and self-motivation
Strong analytical skills combined with the ability to synthesize information from several sources and draw coherent, well-evidenced conclusions
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Well-developed report writing skills
Strong communication and analytical capabilities with excellent attention to detail
