The Personal Banking & Wealth Management (PBWM) business organization delivers a wide array of banking, payments, lending and investment services to individual consumers and small businesses. **About the Position**
Senior Big Data Development Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Ownership & Responsibility for end-to-end business solution using latest and greatest technologies in Relational & Bigdata, Data processing and Analytics space
+ Work closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to drive execution and delivery
+ Responsible for Information Management in areas of Architecture Planning, Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Lineage, Data Quality and Data Warehousing
+ Lead a culture of innovation & experimentation, support full software lifecycle that incorporates the best of technology approaches & delivery methodologies
+ Actively participate in brainstorming session and provide solid inputs to the team and ensure best practices are followed within the team.
+ Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results
+ Validate detailed requirements, working through solutions and managing execution and rollout of the platform. Responsible for the application meeting project specifications and clients expectations
+ Influence technical architecture and negotiate/communicate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary
+ Contribute to Data Engineering/ETL Pipelines standards around which others will operate.
+ Employ developed communication and diplomacy skills in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular, colleagues in other areas and occasionally external entities.
+ Resolve occasionally complex and highly variable issues.
+ Produce detailed analysis of issues where the best course of action is not evident from the information available, but actions must be recommended/taken.
+ Responsible for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of data science projects along with short-term planning resource planning.
+ Oversee management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary action and terminations and may include budget approval.
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
**Qualifications:**
**Required**
+ Experienced in driving software delivery and transformation through Agile practices and processes, with a focus of establishing Continuous Delivery culture and process
+ 10+ years of working as a technical leader working on complex systems in a large organization, structuring, establishing, and leading multiple product-centric development teams
+ 10+ years of hands-on experience in data modelling, model driven engineering and design patterns
+ 10+ years of hands-on experience in Data warehousing, Data Engineering/Data Pipelines and establishing Data platforms to support complex Analytical usage, including Operational ML use cases
+ 10+ years of experience in Data Integration, Data Architecture, Data Quality, Data Governance and Modeling
+ 6+ years experience using tools for implementing Big Data Solutions
+ 6+ years of experience on designing and developing Data Pipelines for Data Ingestion or Transformation using Java or Scala or Python
+ 6+ years of experience in the following Big Data frameworks: File Format (Parquet, AVRO, ORC), Resource Management, Distributed Processing and RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server
+ 6 + years of developing applications with Monitoring, Build Tools, Version Control, Unit Test, TDD, Change Management to support DevOps
+ 6+ years of experience working with Dimensional Data Model and pipelines in relation with the same
+ 10+ years of experience with SQL and Shell Scripting experience
+ 6+ year Experience of designing, building, and deploying production-level data pipelines using tools from Hadoop stack (HDFS, Hive, Spark, HBase, Kafka, NiFi, Oozie, Apache Beam, Apache Airflow etc).
+ 6+ years Experience with Spark programming (pyspark or scala or java).
**Preferred**
+ 2+ years of experience working with Streaming using Spark or Flink or Kafka or NoSQL
+ Intermediate level experience/knowledge in at least one scripting language (Python, Perl, JavaScript)
+ Hands on design experience with data pipelines, joining data between structured and unstructured data
+ Excellent in Relational, No SQL databases and BI platforms like Tableau, MicroStrategy
+ Expertise in Cloud platforms and associated Developer Toolchains, DevOps models, and best practice
+ Experience with various noSQL databases (HBase, MongoDB, Couchbase, Cassandra, and Neo4j) will be a plus
+ Experience in Ab Initio technologies including, but not limited to Ab Initio graph development, EME, Co-Op, BRE, Continuous flow)
**Education:**
+ Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
