The leader in this role need to form strong working partnerships with business and technology leaders/partners, plan and deliver on cloud migration and subject area development goals, contribute to evolving use of data and decision intelligence led solutions for solving problems, and scale the impact of data through development of scalable, cloud native services. This role requires mature technical, business and communication skills to be able to collaborate with business and technology leaders to co-create and understand key enterprise outcomes in addition to being able to build and operate continuous deployment pipelines. This role requires cloud data engineering skills.

Key responsibilities and expectations:

• Leading the delivery of complex solutions across distributed platforms

• Depth of knowledge the aid in anticipating technical issues at the product level and makes architectural and design decisions to avoid them

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5 or more years of relevant software engineering experience with a bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and/or relevant professional experience

• 2 or more years experience leading engineers to include mentoring, coaching, work direction, task assignment, etc.

• 3 or more years experience using at least one scripting language to include Python, Java, Shell Scripts

• 3 or more years experience using Structured Query Language (SQL)

• 2 or more years experience with one or more ETL tools to include Apache NiFi, Apache Spark, Google Dataflow or similar

• 1 or more years experience with data warehouse performance tuning

• 1 or more years experience using Teradata, IBM Netezza, Google BigQuery or similar

• 1 or more years experience building highly scalable systems and applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• 7 or more years experience in software delivery with focus on data engineering

• 3 or more years experience working with cloud native solutions (GCP preferred)

• 3 or more years experience with IBM Netezza or Teradata and related migration of these solutions to the Cloud

• Experience building and optimizing data pipelines using one or more integration patterns and solutions (e.g., ETL/ELT, Replication/CDC, Message driven, Event driven, Streaming API design)

• Worked on migration projects from one technology to another, and from on-prem to the cloud

• 1 or more years experience leading direct reports
