SAIC is seeking a Senior Maintenance Logistician to join our team in Stafford, VA.
SAIC is seeking a Senior Logistician who is passionate about supporting the internal and strategic logistics efforts for a Marine Corps acquisition program. They will be working in support of, and with, a team of talented engineers and program management staff, to design, build, and support the next generation mobile applications for the United States Marine Corps. This position is in support of the Life Cycle Logistician (LCL) and Equipment Specialist (ES) for a suite of Marine Corps systems, and includes coordination with the Logistics team to ensure maintenance and support requirements are reflected in manning and training requirements.
Responsibilities:
Provide advice and guidance to command leadership, program office personnel, project teams, and other logistics team members who are responsible for establishing or maintaining the acquisition life cycle support infrastructure.
Lead and provide technical expertise to assigned program office teams and prepare and deliver briefs to the LCL and ES.
Assist the LCL and ES with overseeing all logistics product deliveries, including Technical Manuals and Applications, Provisioning Technical Data. Responsible for supplementing deliverables as required to meet program objectives
Contribute to the development of sustainment and maintenance related requirements such as Operational Availability (Ao), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) and Mean Time Between Operational Mission Failure (MTBOMF). Once requirements are documented, you will assist in development of strategies to meet the requirements. Identify and assist with planning the testing of the product support packages, evaluating the results against the operational requirements and predetermined measurable metrics.
Manage sub-IPTs related to maintenance to include, preparing for the meeting, generating agendas for LCL and ES approval, keeping meeting notes/log and follow-up on action items.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelors Degree and 6 years related experience; 4 years' experience can be accepted in lieu of degree.
Required Clearance:
Must possess an active SECRET security clearance or be able to obtain one.
Required Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to produce accurate material trackers and production schedules.
Ability to identify process improvement in accordance with DoD regulations.
USMC maintenance backgroud preferred; working knowledge of USMC maintenance required (i.e. levels of maintenance)
Working knowledge of USMC training processes and levels of training (e.g. Training and Readiness manual).
Working knowledge of acquisition logistics principles specifically the maintenance management and planning and training and training support Product Support Elements
Knowledge of small craft operations and maintenance is desired but not required.
Willingness to travel (25%).
Desired Skills:
Military experience or experience supporting military organizations.
Familiarity with scheduling software (Microsoft Project)
