We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Application Development Manager experienced in digital transformation as well as supporting and extending custom off the shelf (COTS) applications. This position is responsible for directing the development, design, implementation and optimization of applications programs. Directs information technology and systems functions as required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead application development and support efforts for COTS based applications including ServiceNow, SharePoint, and Nintex K2.
Support the Applications Development and Innovation Architecture organization in the adoption and deployment of low code applications built on the Mendix platform.
Lead the development of highly scalable, hybrid on-prem and multi-cloud native applications.
Drive the creation of solutions and technology roadmaps with a heavy focus on loosely coupled application architectures employing extensive use of APIs, API management, and microservice architectures.
Provide leadership and coaching in agile software development methodologies.

Job Qualifications:
Typically requires a bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related field and thirteen or more years of progressive applications experience with at least seven of those years in a management role. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
Experience spanning application development and solution architecture.
Strong understanding of agile principles and software development methodologies.
Solid understanding of Cloud technologies and offerings such as AWS or Azure with at least expertise. and/or certification in one while having an aptitude and appetite to learn others.
Experience designing RESTful APIs that facilitate a superior UX and simplify systems integration.
Experience in creating DevSecOps and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Proven experience leading product evaluations and proof of concept development initiatives.
Strong practical application development experience on Linux and Windows-based systems.
Passionate about information technology.
Persuasive communicator able to explain complex or intangible concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
Good listener weighs input from multiple perspectives when forming opinions and recommendations.
Experience gaining consensus among a large, diverse group of stakeholders.
