The Data Foundation Platform team, part of the Disney Streaming D.A.T.A. Org, is seeking a Senior Manager who will be an exceptional addition to our team. The team is responsible for building the data pipelines that ingest and process Disney Streamings large scale instrumentation data, managing the Core Data Lake, and maintaining the central metastore, to provide a holistic and standardized view for data consumers.

**What You'll Do**


+ Build a world-class software development team through a combination of training, career development, recruiting, and process improvement

+ Define and lead the adoption of software engineering best practices and processes

+ Collaborate efficiently and effectively with Technical Product/Program Managers, create roadmaps and charters for the team

+ Collaborate with internal/external team members and stakeholders to gather requirements and drive implementation

+ Experiment with new technologies to make sure we can scale for the future


**Basic Qualifications:**


+ BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering

+ 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience; 5+ years of management experience


**Additional Qualifications:**


+ Familiarity with data engineering principles and data pipelines

+ Demonstrated ability to attract talent, build teams and have fun

+ Exposure to architectural patterns of Data Mesh and Microservices

+ Strong passion for automation, testing, and code quality

+ Great communication and collaboration skills and a team-oriented approach towards software development

+ Strong proficiency in at least one widely used server-side programming language (Scala, Java, Python, etc.)

+ Familiarity with Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake and AWS technologies such as Glue, EMR, Kinesis

+ Previous experience developing highly scalable and distributed systems

+ Experience working in a mix of Cloud and Enterprise data center environments

+ Experience with PII management system and compliance
