Position Summary

Senior Data Engineer is responsible for the design, development, test and implementation of best-in-class Data Processing solutions for the organization, including Data Modeling, Data Loading, Data delivery, Data availability, Performance and Security. This is a senior role that will be engaged in all phases of the Data Enablement lifecycle, and will be called upon to mentor less experienced team members as necessary. Successful candidate will have a proven track record demonstrating in-depth technical and business knowledge.

Key Accountabilities

  • Design, develop and maintain Enterprise Middleware APIs using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.

  • Assist in MuleSoft Infrastructure sizing.

  • Design and assist in custom reports in Anypoint platform to monitor the traffic.

  • Provides technical leadership for projects. Subject matter expertise and Technical expert to the point of being sought out for information and advice.

  • Provide feedback and signoff, including preparing technical specifications and detail level design documents.

  • Prototyping and delivering data integrations and applications in varied deployment models on premise, cloud and hybrid.

  • Provides sign off on code reviews at lead level.

  • Explore the use cases that warrants implementation of real time processing solutions.

  • Conducts research and evaluate, and recommend technology solutions.

  • Supports and guides junior team members.

  • Design, development and continuous improvement of complex and critical data projects.

  • Required to work in other areas of Data Enablement lifecycle as needed.

  • Work on the API specification documentation.

  • Ensure DevOps practices are implemented for all data solutions.

  • Support and maintain existing integration solutions for Middleware systems for operational and analytical applications.

  • Serves as resource to internal and third-party team members on escalated issues and analyzing and designing specifications for less experienced team members.

  • Promote a risk aware culture and ensure efficient and effective compliance management standards and practices.

  • Pursues self-development and effective relationships with others by sharing resources, information, and knowledge with coworkers and customers.

Requirements

  • IT Professional with 3-5 years experience and Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or other quantitative field with at least 3 years experience as a MuleSoft Developer.

  • Should have worked in at least a couple of Integration products like MuleSoft, IBM DataPower, WebMethods etc.

  • Establish methods to maintain the integrity and security of the company data

  • Experience working with REST / SOAP services.

  • Experience in Mule integrations, API management, API policies and security

  • Held an architect role on multiple complex deployments.

  • Experience with data integrations using SQL Server and SSIS / Informatica is a plus.

  • Good understanding of Data Warehousing, Middleware, MDM and Data Governance concepts.

  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases.

  • Experience in developing standards and procedures as well as programming architectures for code reuse.

  • Experience with working on Onsite and Offshore model.

  • Experience working on Banking and Financial domain is a plus.

  • Proven ability to work within a team environment and interacting with data professionals and business data SMEs throughout the organization

  • Must be self-directed and have excellent initiative and organization skills.
