As the Senior Engineer, Technology Network, you will be responsible for monitoring the health of mission critical systems associated with both internal infrastructure and customer facing systems. You will work closely within the department and various tech teams to ensure our monitoring solutions are applied in a deliberate, measured, and precise way. What you'll do on a typical day:
Design, configure, and implement business solutions from the fairly to the very complex.
Develop, maintain, and mature all route, switch, security and network configurations
Install, configure and troubleshoot various different network architecture
Design, configure and secure high-density wireless network including all 802.11 standards and security protocols
Manage and configure multiple network services including DNS, DHCP, NTP, RADIUS
Identify and document all network hardware and software using a variety of sources
Monitor and respond quickly to any performance and/or security issues
Design, configure and troubleshoot firewall objects and policies using a strong "least privileged access" mentality
Actively participate in the upgrade, patching, and installation of new and existing equipment
Provide customer friendly technical support and guidance to users as needed
Update and enhance Business Continuity plans and Disaster Recovery services and Data Centers
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
2 years of applicable Network Engineering/Operations experience on a large Enterprise Class multi-site network
Strong Cisco technical background with CCNP or equivalent higher technical certification
Strong working knowledge of SDN and SD-WAN
Strong working knowledge of all aspects of wireless networking and security
Experience with all aspects of Cloud networking including GCP, OCI and Azure
Expert knowledge of NGFW technologies including Palo Alto, CheckPoint, and Cisco
Expert knowledge of F5 BIG-IP
Expert in all the standard routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
Expert in Subnetting in a complex environment
Experience working with carriers and ISP's for complex service delivery
Flexible schedule, this position will involve some weekend and evening work as needed
It'd be great if you also have:
Proficiency with productivity software and various web browsers
Experience with monitoring software/tools (Solarwinds NPM, Infoblox, APIC)
Ability to work complex carrier/network issues to resolution.
Experience with Cisco's SD-WAN, DMVPN
Experience with Extreme Wireless technologies
