We are looking for you to join our team as a Senior Principal Software Engineer based out of San Diego, CA.
In this role you will be the software development lead of a team responsible for the design and integration of applications for our end-user customers and businesses.
Essential Functions:
+ Overseeing and participating in the development of the architecture and software for distributed services and user interfaces running in a multi-language, multi-OS, virtualized enterprise
+ Architecture definition, technical work package execution, and ability to articulate technical concepts to a wide range of stakeholders (internal and external)
+ Lead a team while remaining hands on with the day-to-day software development activities
+ Work with multi-disciplinary teams, such as Systems Engineering, Test Automation, DevSecOps and Systems Test in an Agile software development environment
+ Cost account management, schedule oversight, and briefings to internal and external stakeholders.
+ Involved in the evolution of the current design to advance the enterprise into a cloud-enabled architecture (e.g. containerization)
**_Basic Qualifications:_**
+ Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution with a minimum of 9 years of experience; OR 7 years of experience with a Masters (MS) degree; OR 4 years of experience with a PhD
+ Proven experience leading Small Team software development, leveraging agile concepts and methodologies
+ Object oriented development experience using C#, Java, and Python.
+ Experience developing application services that read/transform/transmit heterogeneous messages (e.g. XML, WCF, REST, TCP, etc.)
+ Thick Client HMI Development Using C#
+ **CLEARANCE:** Candidate must currently have and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance
**_Preferred Qualifications:_**
+ Web client development experience using JavaScript, React, HTML.
+ Experience with containers, service orchestration, and other virtualization methodologies
+ Automated testing using the Robot Framework test automation framework
+ Automated deployment leveraging ansible
+ XMPP and ActiveMQ protocol experience
+ Familiar with Agile and DevOps concepts and lifecycle
+ DevOps Tools experience including git, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Crucible
+ Experience with the Kongsberg TerraLens Mapping SDK
MSSDEN
Salary Range: $125,800.00 - $188,600.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
