Global Technology is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Platform Engineer to be part of the IT Service Management product team responsible for building capability on the ServiceNow platform that is used globally. As a ServiceNow Platform Engineer, you will collaborate with other ServiceNow Platform Engineers on an agile team and interact with business stakeholders. This role is responsible for building functionality, providing hands-on support as needed and assisting in troubleshooting / problem solving.
Primary Responsibilities:
Developing, configuring and delivering solutions on ServiceNow platform including, but not limited to core setup, workflow administration, reporting, data imports, custom scripting, and third-party software integrations
Building applications ensuring that the code follows latest coding practices and industry standards
Establishes and manages system integrations in ServiceNow
Attend agile team and stakeholders meetings to obtain business requirements, offer solutions, and provide input on ServiceNow capabilities.
Participate in technical discussions around ServiceNow solution design and architecture on development efforts such as integrations or new module implementations or customizations.
Work closely with other platform engineers to understand the system end-to-end
Write unit, integration tests and functional automation
Support product owner and tech lead in defining future stories and technical designs
Challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions
Create automation for manual repetitive tasks and testing
Ongoing support and troubleshooting of production issues for the ServiceNow platform.
Qualifications:
5+ years of overall IT experience with at least 4 years of experience as a Solution Engineer or Software Developer
Extensive knowledge of JavaScript
Familiarity with UI, SQL, HTML and CSS
Knowledge of XML and structural programming concepts
Integration: Rest & Soap API's
Knowledge of agile practices
Advanced problem-solving ability
ServiceNow System Admin certification (nice to have)
High energy and passionate individual who inspires teammates to reach their maximum potential
