Tapestry Solutions Boeing Global Services BGS is seeking a **Senior Software Configuration Management Engineer** in **Hazelwood, MO** .


In this role, you will work on the U.S. Navys premier first-strike weapon, the Tomahawk Missile System. The U.S. continues to modernize all aspects of the missile system and expand its role, including the Mission Planning systems to which this role applies. Tapestrys Tomahawk Mission Planning organization implements the Tomahawk Mission Planning System (TPS) under contract with the U.S. Navy. TPS is the intelligence behind the Tomahawk systems mission execution. TPS established the complex missile routing from its First Preplanned Way Point to the target. As such, TPS software development is recognized as the mission-critical element of the Tomahawk Weapons System. You will work with a small, inclusive, diverse team of less than 50 personnel supporting our U.S. Navy customers.


As the Configuration Management Specialist, you will maintain and enhance the software configuration management system and build/deployment tools to successfully and efficiently release TPS code to engineering and production environments.


**Position Responsibilities:**


+ Use automated software tools to generate development, integration, and release builds

+ Design, write, and maintain scripts to automate build/release tasks

+ Manage installation and debug of internal and external software products

+ Generate software metrics reports, release documentation, and release media

+ Perform release audits

+ Support developer use of configuration management tools

+ Maintain/update software development tools as needed.


**This is onsite working in a facility that handles classified information. The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at the listed location.**


**This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)**


**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**


+ 1+ years of experience using & supporting IT systems and applications

+ Experience with software configuration management of large software programs


**Preferred Qualifications** **(** **Desired Skills** **/** **Experience** **):**


+ Experience using version control tools (e.g. Subversion, GIT, ClearCase)

+ Experience automating the Microsoft .NET software build, packaging, and deployment processes

+ Experience automating Build-Release processes (using MS Build, PowerShell, MS Command (or other scripting languages)

+ Experience with Microsoft Office tools

+ Familiarity with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)

+ 1+ years of experience with Visual Basic

+ 1+ years of PL/SQL programming

+ 1+ years of InstallShield experience


**Typical Education & Experience** :


Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelors) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Masters) and typically 7 or more years related work experience an equivalent combination of education and experience.
