**Position Overview** :


Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently looking for a Software Configuration and Data Management professional to join the Product Life Cycle Management team located in El-Segundo, California.


As a member of the Program Configuration Management team you will work with the Program Management, Software Engineering, Finance, and other Program functional disciplines, and site/enterprise CM organizations to implement, administrate the Program Software CM & Data Management processes and administrate the associated tools and functions.


**Position Responsibilities** :


+ Create and maintain program Software Configuration Management Plan.

+ Work with Software Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to identify Computer Software Configuration Items (CSCI) and uniquely identify by part numbers.

+ Support Software Engineering Change Boards as Software CM representative.

+ Maintain electronic and physical Software libraries used to store controlled artifacts.

+ Support generation of Software Version Description (SVD) and Configuration Guides to document released baselines.

+ Perform Configuration Status Accounting Reporting of configuration documents, status proposed changes, and implementation of approved changes.

+ Perform functional and physical configuration audits (FCA/PCA)

+ Support some Data Management tasks and track and deliver contractual requirements.


**This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)**


**This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.**


**Basic Qualifications** **(Required Skills/Experience):**


+ Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Sciense, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry

+ 3+ yrs experience with Software Configuration Management in processes and practices with Bachelors of Science Degree in a technical field.

+ Experience managing Change Boards

+ Strong communication skills


**Preferred Qualifications** **(Desired Skills/Experience):**


+ NDIA CM or CM Manager Certification

+ Working experience with Teamcenter Enterprise, Jira, ClearQuest and PIMS


**Typical Education/Experience** **:**


**Experienced (Level 3)** : Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.


**Senior (Level 4):** Bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
