The ChipScope team has an exciting opportunity for creative and talented software developers. We are a collaborative team that enjoys learning from each other as we create tools for AMD-Xilinx devices. Our passion is developing creative robust tools that help our customers find and solve some of the toughest ACAP, SoC and FPGA bugs. Our team collectively works with our support and operations teams to develop one of the most widely used software debug tools for AMD-Xilinx devices.
In this senior software engineer position, you will be working with other software developers, team leads and managers to help explore, develop, build, test, and support existing and new products. Utilizing your creativity and software skills you will help expand, optimize, and maintain continuous integration pipelines to ensure efficient high-quality builds. You will also lead investigations into new technologies that will benefit the overall software development and productivity of the ChipScope team. Making use of open-source software packages, you will help expand features for our debug tools including expanding the capabilities of the SmartLynq+ embedded debug cable. Lastly you will have the opportunity to interact with many diverse teams spanning from DevOps to silicon and board manufacturing teams. Everyday you will have opportunities to learn something new about advanced AMD-Xilinx products and what it takes to develop quality production tools. Explore, develop, and maintain the build infrastructure for the ChipScope Products
Interacting with IT and DevOps for build infrastructure and artifact delivery
Investigate and support open-source software packages
Attend and participate in project team meetings to develop and implement project plans
Collaborate with the project team members to troubleshoot and solve build and software issues
Document and present testing results and training modules
Education: BS or MS or PhD in CS, EE or CE
Experience: BS wpprox. 5 years, MS wpprox. 2 years, or PhD in relevant field w/0 or more years
Hands-on and demonstrable coding experience using programming languages (Python, C++, C, Java, etc.)
Proficient oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in global team in diverse/multiple stakeholder environment
Experience using and creating Docker environments
Experience using and contributing to GitHub repositories
Comfortable with remote work using both Linux and Windows environments
Experience with Linux system administration
Experience with Jenkins, Gradle build tool and jfrog artifactory
Experience with embedded Linux Kernel development, customization and debugging
Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies
Familiarity with EDA and on-chip test & measurement tools
Experience using hardware devices and related software (such as Xilinx FPGA/ACAP/SoC, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, etc.)
COMPENSATION RANGE & BENEFITS:
Expected to range from $90,930.00to $129,900.00, commensurate with experience and specific skill sets. Benefits offered are described here<>.
