What you will do

We are looking for a forward thinking, energetic, collaborative technical enthusiastic leader to join our team with a focus on the design and automation to drive the engineering code release processes, tools and frameworks. In this role, you will utilize cutting edge software technologies to architect, build, manage and monitor the deployment landscape. You will also use your broad technical capabilities, critical thinking skills, and relentless approach to help our team develop the new engineering development platforms.

How you will do it

• Participate in agile software planning and development activities including daily standups, user story, task organization, grooming activities, and effort estimation.

• Analyze business and technical requirements to develop documentation, detailed designs, code and tests.

• Drive a continuously improving culture in pursuit of optimization opportunities via automation, metrics definition, and monitoring.

• Communicate and coordinate effectively with all product engineering teams and SREs teams.

• Create broad system designs and architectures for large software programs.

• Possess a desire to jump in where needed, learn new technologies, and work effectively across the full stack.

What we look for

Required:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience

• At least 5 years of experience in the software industry

• Extensive knowledge within (Cloud) infrastructure components

• Experience architecting and deploying solutions in Azure

• Kubernetes knowledge and experience

• Automation tool experience with Terraform

• Outstanding analytical and programming skills

• Passion for Technology: Quickly learn new platform technologies and identify potential use cases to address on-going requirements as well as create roadmaps as you keep a pulse on industry trends

• Coach: Role model for emerging engineers on the team

• Global Perspective: Ability to work collaboratively in global teams

• Visionary: See trends in Technology and pragmatically integrate them into our products

• Communicator: Summarize complex concepts UP. Detail abstract concepts DOWN

• Persistent: Address problems and proactively removes critical technical roadblocks for the team

• Problem Solving/Critical Thinking: Must be an elite level problem solver

Preferred:

• Experience architecting and deploying solutions in AWS and/or GCP

• Containers experience with Openshift

• Nginx, Portwork, Crunchy Data

• Automation experience with Ansible

• Scripting language experience with PowerShell or Python

• CI/CD: Jenkins, Artifactory, Github, Tekton, ArgoCD

• Monitoring tools: Datadog, Logz.io
