Define, design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software systems throughout all phases of the software development process. Develop technical & domain expertise and apply to solving product challenges. Thorough code reviews. Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and roll out applications with cross functional impacts. Share engineering support and release. Assess business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards. Interface and collaborate with other engineers in geographically distributed development centers. Apply Agile methodology daily and follow Definition of Done (DoD) process for better quality by maintaining 80% and unit test coverage and 70% integration test coverage
Requirements include Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field. Employer will accept a three or four year bachelor's degree. 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer/Architect or related occupation and must have some experience in each of the following skills: Computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, OOPs, and OOA/D; Modern programming languages (Java/C++) and design patterns; Unit testing and mocking frameworks; Data Warehouse/Database: Oracle, MSSQL, MongoDB, DB2; Business Intelligence Tools: SAP Business Objects; Web Server: Apache Tomcat; Programming Languages: Java, SQL, Shell; Cloud: AWS Services, Snowflake, Talend Cloud, Salesforce, Tableau, Oracle Analytics Server, ThoughtSpot, Power BI, Alteryx; On-Prem: IBM Netezza, Talend, Git, Apache Maven, Jenkins, Artifact Repository, Docker; and the position also requires Cloud Certification including AWS Solutions Architect.
Annual base salary gross:$139,984 - 165,733.75 USD. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the Western Union salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidates qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of Western Unions total compensation package for employees.
