Senior Vice President, Global Head of Internal Communications

Key Objectives
TheSenior Vice President, Global Head of Internal Communicationswill set and lead Chubbs internal communications strategy, drivingemployee engagement across the company. Amember of the Global Marketing, Communications and Investor Relations team, this dynamic leader will display a laser-like focus on enhancing engagement, amplifying the strategic narrative of the company andsetting our internal editorial direction across a diverse and dispersed employee base.We seek a seasoned practitioner who has worked in a global capacity at a highly matrixed company that includes both B2Band B2C business units one who has builtconsistency tounderscore the benefits of the employee value proposition.
Our Head of Internal Communications willbe responsible for producing bold, creative, strategic narratives and delivering engaging content that illuminatesthe companys strategic priorities, highlights what makes Chubb a great place to work, advances our digital transformation and showcases how we deliver a competitive advantage to our clients, customers and intermediaries. They will employa full spectrum of channels and platforms, new and yet-to-be developed, measuring their effectiveness and exploring new approaches and technology enhancements, including mobile capabilities to reach employees and foster engagement.
Specific Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of an internal engagement plan aligned with Chubb's narrative that effectively articulates its vision, mission, strategy and successes
Develop Chubbs internal communications Center of Excellence, a strategy and roadmap to achieve a world class discipline serving the companys 34,000 employees
Build, lead and professionally develop our global internal communications team
Understand the various personas of our employee base and create compelling channels, content, messaging, packaging and repurposing of news and information that istailored for these distinct audiences - ranging across all regions, from newly acquired employees, to seasoned field staff and corporate functions
Surface ideas and enhancements to create compelling employee experiences, including programs, events, and interactions that bring to life the companys ambitions and growth
Working in tandem with Technology, Operations and Digital Transformation leaders and their respective teams to transform The Village Chubbs internal employee data and experience hub -- into a new integrated communication platform,leading this project to completion and launch in 2023
Proactively solicit input for deepening employee engagement across the firm, in collaboration with all regional MarComms team members, business unit and functional leadership, plus the Human Resources, Technology, Operations and Digital Transformation teams
Arrange and ensure the highest quality and consistency of all employee events and programs that include the Chairman and CEO packaging his speaking opportunities in an easily digestible and visual way that drives awareness and greater collaboration among employees
Working with Chubbs Chief Culture Officer and other senior leaders, produce a wide variety of content in multiple forms to reinforce Chubbs culture, diversity, equity and inclusion efforts (across all employee resource groups) and the initiatives and milestones of the business resource groups. Highlight Chubbs social responsibility, environmental awareness, commitment to equity and philanthropy
Measure, track and continuously improve employee engagement metrics. Move to a new internal communicator-friendly platform that demonstrates real-time results, open rates and other metrics, while being prepared to change course as needed to respond to changing workforce demands and behaviors. Conduct focus groups and pilot projects to ensure Chubb is adapting to new and more efficient ways of communicating
Update and rollout a new Chubb internal communications stylebook and guidelines for all internal and executive communicators, building awareness among all Marketing, Communications, Legal, HR, Investor Relations and other functional teammates. Create new designs to modernize executive leadership email, global town halls, videos, newsletters, blogs and other forms of communications. Explore and develop an online self-service resource for communicatorsto use that houses all our internal team's materials
Manage budget and vendors
Qualifications
Bachelors degree, MBA a plus. 15+ years of corporate communications, PR agency, consultancy, journalism and/or marketing experience
Preferred industry experience includes financial services, insurance and technology with a heavy accent on highly matrixed global environments operating across multiple time zones
M&A experience a plus, especially integrating employee bases from new acquisitions on a global scale
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Exceptional writing and editing abilities, including spelling and grammar with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
Innovative approach to content types thinking beyond the written word to consider visual, video, audio, in-person experiences and other channels and content delivery approaches
Creative, results-oriented problem-solver with ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with resilience, intellectual curiosity and adaptability
Insightful analytical thinking and ability to integrate input from multiple stakeholders while working on deadlines
Proven ability to synthesize complexfinancial and insurance-related materials and to craft creative, persuasive content for global audiences
Strong project management and organizational skills with aptitude for managing simultaneous projects in a deadline-driven work environment
An energetic team player and driven self-starter, with a positive mindset and excellent work ethic
Ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, both within the global MarComms and IR team and the wider businesses and functions; a proven Influencer
Takes ownership and sees things through
Proficient Microsoft Office Suite and Excel skills; advanced skills a plus

Deep knowledge of industry-leading strategies and methodologies, including:
Effective storytelling and content development and management
Content platform management and optimizing search
Employee engagement and change communications
Analytics and measurement
Experience with communications tools (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, MS Office360, SharePoint, Poppulo)
Experience working hand-in-hand with outside consultants, writers and other vendors; contract negotiation skills
Knowledge of core web technologies including web content management, web personalization tools, marketing automation platforms, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
