Summary:
RiverTech is seeking a Senior VoIP Technician to support Secure VoIP services supporting 4 geographically diverse locations. Will work under supervision of day-to-day operations for installation, moves, adds, changes, and trouble resolution for a secure VoIP system to maintain system availability requirements. Will interface with management tools, system management access, and identify, diagnose, and resolve systems issues within specified service level agreements. Will provide customer with daily, weekly, monthly status as required. Will interface directly with customer and customer service providers and manage all interfaces to maintain system availability.
Responsibilities:
Maintain/Upgrade existing VoIP network in DOD environment
Conduct detailed preinstallation site surveys to accurately determine client needs
Purchase, track, document, and maintain equipment inventory
Perform new installs, moves, adds, changes, and deletes
Setup and maintain VoIP services
Configure and maintain Cisco IP phones using Cisco Unified Communications Manager to provision endpoints with requested features
Create and Manage Hunt Group, Hunt List, and Hunt Pilot
Configure and Maintain IP-Telephony Cisco Conference Server for Conferencing
Implement services such as Conference Media Resource, Meet-Me Conferences, and Music on Hold Audio Files
Provide technical support and maintenance for existing and new VoIP services
Provide administration of and support for telecom service requests received via service tickets and new installation requests
Perform hardware and software diagnostics on VoIP endpoints and existing server infrastructure
Troubleshoot and Identify needs for repairs or equipment replacement
Maintain OS and application backup operations for Cisco VoIP CUCM and Cisco Meeting Manager Servers
Create and maintain detailed documentation of equipment purchases, installations, repairs, and replacements
Log/track incident reports and document processes and lessons learned
Provide superior customer service and maintenance of positive customer relations
Follow up on incident resolutions to determine/act on additional customer needs
Provide customer training on processes and service features
As needed, communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ensure that you are accurate, thorough, and helpful
Required Experience:
Minimum High School/GED
Minimum 3-years hands-on experience required in a position of similar function and responsibility in a Cisco environment
Working technical knowledge of VoIP telephony systems, software, and hardware
Tool experience on Add/Delete/Modify Phones, Masking and CC line updates via Bulk Admin and configuring/troubleshooting SRST (Survivable Remote Site Telephony)
Technical knowledge of SIP, H.323, and TCP/IP Protocols
Working technical knowledge of Cisco IOSs
Experience with DOD network and system standards to include STIGs
Experience performing Cisco UC administration, implementation, and troubleshooting of CUCM
Broad range of technical knowledge, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and expertise in all aspects of customer service
Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are required, as well as a demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
Work will be performed with minimal direction, so must be proactive, efficient, highly focused, and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Active Secret Clearance
Current IAT Level II certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+CE, CCNA Security). IAT Level III also qualifies (e.g. CISSP, CASP, CCNP Security)
Ability to travel 25% of the time within the state of Colorado
Pay Rate: $36-$37 per hour, plus applicable Health & Welfare fringe dollars as defined under the DOLs Wage
Determination.
