As a Software Architect Sr. within PNCs Enterprise Technology & Security organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a remote position and can sit anywhere within the PNC footprint, except for Colorado, Hawaii or Alaska. There is limited expectation for regular in person, in office activities.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
Experience implementing solutions with OAuth, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML.
Knowledge of Identity Management, Access Management, and Directory Services technologies including LDAPv3.
Software integration experience with representational state transfer (REST) software architectural style.
Evaluate business, process, systems, and technology requirements and solidify solution designs around Digital Identity.
Experience using Unified Modeling Language (UML) developmental modeling language.
Microservice architecture and API gateway knowledge.
Working knowledge on OAuth 2.0 grant types to secure microservices.
Prefer security certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CSSP), Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM) and Certified Identity Management Professional (CIMP).
Essential Function
Leads in design of architecting Digital Identity solutions using IAM related protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect and Microsoft Azure.
Develops detailed architecture solution designs reflecting application consumption of Digital Identity solutions and enterprise business logic.
Provides technical guidance to application development teams. Consults on integration and conversion activities.
Conducts reviews, and analyses organizational needs and goals to develop and implement applications.
Stay abreast of Identity and Access Management (IAM) industry developments and continue to develop professionally.

Products and Services Knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
Service Oriented Architecture Technologies Knowledge of the technologies used to enable excellent IT service for business clients; ability to develop, implement and support a variety of such technologies.
Software Process Improvement (SPI) Knowledge of formal software process improvement disciplines, and ability to assess and improve the quality and operating costs associated with an existing application.
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry relevant experience is typically 8+ years. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
