SAIC is seeking a Software Developer, in Herndon, VA (position will relocate to Chantilly in mid-late 2023), to work closely with customer Program Managers and a small team of software developers to accelerate system and application development. The successful candidate works side-by-side with the other team members comprised of world class Machine Learning Engineers, System Architects, Software Developers, Cloud Engineers, Cyber Engineers, and Multimedia Specialists to lead the customer in developing new technical solutions. 

Job responsibilities include: 

• Work within the team to develop new and enhance existing systems and applications 

• Produce efficient and elegant code based on requirements 

• Test and deploy programs and applications 

• Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing software 

• Compile and assess user feedback to improve software performance  

• Proactively seek opportunities to use process improvement and re-engineering methodologies to facilitate improvements to team processes

Qualifications

Required:

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph

• Technical degree

  • 5 years additional experience as a software developer in lieu of degree

• 5 years of relevent expereince as a software developer

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Python experience

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Django experience

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on React or other Java Script frameworks (like Angular and Vue)

• Experience with Machine Learning model integration

• Experience with Microservice Architecture Development

• Minimum of 1 year of Docker experience

• Analytic thinker who works well in a team environment

Desired:

• Terraform experience
