As a Senior Interaction Designer, you will be a part of this Target Creative team and take a lead role in shaping the marketing presence of Target. Specifically, you’ll use your skills, experience and talents to develop innovative ideas for digital advertising, while working closely in collaboration with internal and external product teams, associate creative directors, art directors, copywriters, experience designers, media experts, and developers. You’ll then be responsible for developing responsive, accessible and mobile first email templates and components for Target’s promotional marketing email program. You’ll also assist in the work through every phase of production.
In this position, you’ll ultimately champion the company’s purpose, values and direction, while supporting Target Creative’s strategies, goals and objectives. You’ll be challenged to stay current with cultural and technical trends, seek creative solutions to overcome obstacles, and balance a variety of projects across multiple business categories.And we’ll be there to support you along the way with individualized onboarding and coaching, as well as personal and career development to help you grow as a strong Senior Interaction Designer. About you:
4-year college degree and/or equivalent work experience
5–7 years of digital creative experience
Strong portfolio demonstrating breadth of design and digital media expertise
Expert knowledge of standard design software (Adobe tools, Mac platform, etc.)
Familiarity with key digital media-specific creative tech (HTML5, video, dynamic feeds, etc.) and tools (Google Web Designer, Hype, Sketch, etc.)
Solid understanding of the digital media landscape, including its unique creative challenges.
Basic understanding of social channels, their capabilities and how creative can be applied across digital channels
Excellent problem solving, organization, critical thinking, presentation and communication skills
Basic UX and front-end development knowledge and ability to communicate effectively with experience designers and developer
Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate ambiguity
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently or effectively with a group
Flexible to travel (weekends included)
This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that’s not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.
Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $65,600-$118,100.
