We're looking for a Software Engineering Senior Advisor to join our team. The focus of this individual will be to create, in a collaborative fashion, efficient and effective strategies and solution architectures to solve problems in the real world. This person will also help with mentoring team members to become full stack engineers. Our teams focus on solutions revolving around pharmacies, pharmaceuticals, and, most importantly, patients; the solutions we provide drive our ability to provide affordable access to medications in a controlled, efficient, and responsible manner.
The teams utilize Big Data tools, with a focus on cloud platforms, to improve on Analytics to provide more robust solutions. Through a hands-on engineering approach, this individual will develop patterns, processes, and applications which enable many other scrum teams to tackle the big data and data science problems. You will understand business requirements and work with cross-org teams. You will influence all aspects of the system from data ingestion utilizing big data methodologies to solving business problems through application development while focusing on security, fault tolerance and scalability.
Must be a current contractor with Cigna, Express Scripts, or Evernorth. Evernorth is a new business within the Cigna Corporation.

Qualifications:
Must be a current contractor with Cigna, Express Scripts, or Evernorth. Evernorth is a new business within the Cigna Corporation.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of IT experience (or a Master's degree and 3 years of such experience).
All qualifying experience must include: designing and developing ETL pipelines in a big data environment and designing and developing ETL solutions on Teradata platform using load utilities.
At least 3 years of experience must include: the medical insurance domain; providing database solutions using AWS native services; developing CICD pipelines to automatedly deploy code using Jenkins, Cloudbees, CloudFormation, and Terraform; and claims and membership enrollment process flows.
5+ years being part of Agile teams - Scrum or Kanban
5+ years of working in an object-oriented language: Python, Go, Rust, R, Scala, or other OO compiled language
Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS or other)
3+ years in Web development frameworks like React, Angular, other Node.js based systems, Django, React-native, etc.
2+ years of scripting (JavaScript, Bash, R, etc.)
3+ years of database - SQL
Experience with Git/SVN
Experience with big data technologies a plus, such as Hadoop, Teradata, etc.
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Strong communication skills
Fluent in BDD and TDD development methodologies
Work in an agile CI/CD environment (Jenkins experience a plus)
Knowledge and/or experience with Health care information domains is a plus
Must be a current Express Scripts or Cigna contractor
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
