SUMMARY
The role will analyze and execute compensation initiatives based on business objectives. We are looking for strategic
and analytical individuals to support the implementation, communication and administration of the compensation
programs, policies and practices to ensure they are competitive, cost-effective, internally equitable, and compliant with all
applicable regulations. With limited guidance and direction, performs research and analysis and makes
recommendations consistent with compensation philosophy, established policies, market practice and business needs.
Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite
Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:
* Plan and execute retail, pharmacy, Elixir, corporate and distribution center bonus programs and merit (SDA)
calculations administration results and coordinate communications of those calculations and results. This
includes verification of eligible participants, calculation of adjustments/payments, and coordination of
distributions. Recommend plan changes based on needs and market conditions.
* Participate in salary surveys, analyze survey results, and recommend rate adjustments as a result of
market/geographic analysis to maintain or improve compensation program objectives, while providing support
for the development of other compensation professionals with regard to survey input and/or analysis.
* Manage minimum base pay adjustments by analyzing Associate base pay against local minimum wage
requirements, adjusting Associate pay rates and pay ranges based on local minimum wage changes and
communicating those adjustments to HRBPs, leadership and associates.
* Analyze base pay and/or bonus programs (short-term incentive) components and recommend program
revisions and audit Associate data for conformance to program guidelines. Track bonus targets for retail,
pharmacy, corporate, Elixir and distribution center associates. Assess eligibility to calculate bonus payments.
* Conduct market pay analysis of union jobs to support union negotiations.
* Manage the master pay scale library, bonus target tracking, store lists, program documentation, bonus and
salary administration guidelines, to support and advance compensation program development.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) required in Human Resources or related field.
Certified Compensation Professional preferred. #LI-Remote
3 years of experience in professional Compensation, HR, Finance, analytics experience required.
