Sr. Analyst - QA Tester

**Job Description:**
**Position Summary**
Key individual contributor to Quality Assurance (QA) project teams within T&O. Works with project teams to ensure standard quality practices/processes are followed. Conducts end-to-end testing on applications and technology, to ensure that business, technical, functional requirements are being met throughout the SDLC. Designs and Executes test scripts based upon test strategy/plans in an effort to identify defects prior to production. Tests may be manual, automated or both. May also include Production Certification which requires manual/automated scripts be executed to certify production health and/or identify post-production defects. Works as a member of the project team to ensure standard quality practices/processes are followed. Assists with data management.
**Required Skills**
+ 3 to 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, software testing and Automation.
+ Independent, self-starter and require very minimal direction and guidance.
+ Experience in reviewing functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding and delivery of testing project deliverables (ex. Test Plan, Test Cases).
+ Experience in understanding and identifying test data needed for testing and writing quality positive and negative test cases.
+ Experience in hands on functional testing, systems integration testing, regression testing.
+ Expertise with Webservices Testing using SOATest, IBM RIT, SOAPUI.
+ Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
+ Develop, document and maintain Test Plans, functional test cases and other test artifacts including test data and automated scripts.
+ Execute and evaluate manual/automated test cases and report test results.
+ Hold and facilitate test plan and test case reviews with cross-functional team members.
+ Ability to execute test cases in a timely manner, analyze test results, identify defects and experience in defect lifecycle.
+ Good knowledge of test management tools such as HP ALM/Quality Center and test automation tools such as SOATest, TOSCA, UFT.
+ Good communication skills and an ability to participate in defect triage calls to explain defects to development teams and escalate as necessary.
+ Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
+ Experience testing mainframe, distributed and middleware (services) technologies and integrated applications.
+ Good understanding of the software development process

+ Web Services testing using any of the tools like IBM RIT, SOATEst SOAP UI etc.
+ Develop common solutions through Automation Able to identify risks and mitigation.
+ Comfortable working in matrix environment Prior Experience in Financial Services, Marketing and other Customer impact.
