Northrop Grumman is seeking a **Sr.** **Principal Cyber Software Engineer** to join our team in **San Antonio, TX** .
This position involves developing solutions to national security threats with products that may involve kernel development, reverse engineering or vulnerability research of network and communication systems.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelors degree in related field with 9 years of experience. Or, 7 years with a Masters degree. Or, 4 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of demonstrated ability is required in lieu of a degree.
+ US Citizenship with active DoD Secret Clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
+ Demonstrated software programming experience in C/C++ Experience in software development to include any of the following: kernel mode, embedded, command and control, web applications, network applications
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Familiarity with Assembly Languages (x86, x64, MIPS, PPC, or ARM)
+ Experience using a debugging or system analysis tool (i.e. Wireshark, IDAPro, OllyDebug, WinDBG, JTAG debuggers)
+ Development of lower level networking protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP
+ Ability to understand secure / insecure programming concepts (format string vulnerabilities, heap overflows, etc.)

Salary Range: $119,400.00 - $179,200.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
