These are a collection of technologies designed to match motorcycle performance to available traction during acceleration, deceleration and braking. The systems are designed to aid the rider in controlling the vehicle while accelerating and braking in a straight line or while in a turn. Specific functions include: Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronically Linked Braking (ELB), Drag-Torque Slip Control (DSCS), Traction Control Systems (TCS) and Vehicle Hold Control (VHC).

Details of these functions on our currently released motorcycles are reviewed in the following video: H-D Rider Safety Enhancement (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDQ6-c5fWV8) .

**Job Responsibilities**

In this position you will:

+ Demonstrate understanding of specific components and vehicle system level interactions while possessing technical skills in electronic modules, software and overall system development and performance.

+ Deliver robust, optimized designs for vehicle functions and systems while adhering to project targets, performance objectives, high quality, and cost minimization.

+ Author requirements for vehicle functions and system architecture with focus on ISO26262 compliance.

+ Generate plans for development and feature maturity.

+ Partner with a cross-functional team and suppliers to meet program and build milestones.

+ Identify risks and propose mitigations.

+ Develop designs through Tier I electrical component partners and approve designs for production.

+ Verify component & system performance to H-D standards, approve supplier validation, and work with test and verification entities to ensure EE system meets or exceeds targets

+ Perform Design Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (DFMEAs), Design Verification Plan & Reports (DVP&Rs), analyze test results and bring closure to test findings.

+ Develop software verification plans to ensure features are intuitive and robust at vehicle launch.

+ Independently solve complex technical issues and provide solutions to problems using both creative processes and analytical methods.

+ Support vehicle-level system integration activities, regulatory homologation events, pre-production vehicle builds, and vehicle launch builds.

+ Provide technical leadership for enhanced chassis control systems including engagement of diverse stakeholders across H-D and mentoring of other engineers.
