We are looking for a passionate and highly skilled technical leader focused on conducting and leading Front End development activities for our Self-Service Capabilities group. As part of a full stack engineer team, you will provide a technical expertise to the group to define and build client facing experiences using Typescript and React.js. You will collaborate with Product Managers, User Experience Designers, Architects, and other team members to build products that align with our Health vision and execution strategy. You will partner with the Engineering manager of the Self Service Capabilities group to establish the Front-End technical strategy of the group but also to contribute to its development and deployment.

As a technical expert, we are looking for a candidate able to mentor junior developers, drive activities with autonomy and leadership, and clearly communicate across different levels of the organization. The engineering of these products will leverage agile methodologies and DevOps principles to deliver industry-leading solutions at high velocity with unrivaled quality.

The ideal candidate for this role:

• Is recognized as a technical leader both in their company and at an industry level

• Is an expert in front end technologies like Typescript and React

• Has knowledge on multiple domain-specific software packages both commercial and open source

• Has experience in delivering with highly skilled engineering teams in product model environments

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical activities and strategy across multiple projects and programs

• Help develop an inclusive, collaborative, and diverse team of technical professionals

• Provide input around architecture direction, technical designs, testing strategies, deployment strategies, and production support objectives

• Fosters consistent use of established methodology and tools usage

• Drives performance analysis and tuning

• Consistently looks for areas of improvement in development technologies and methodologies

• Participates in strategic planning organization-wide

• Fosters a learning environment and promotes knowledge-sharing across teams

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5 or more years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent relevant professional experience

• 4 or more years of experience developing web applications using React.js and Typescript

• Experience using Redux, React Hooks, React Context, Material UI/React Bootstrap, Axios, React Router

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with item tracking tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA

• Experience designing and creating component frameworks for reusability

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS applications

• Test-driven development, refactoring, automated unit test, integration test, functional test, and continuous integration/deployment. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills

• Experience using Git
