Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Storage Engineer with a focus on engineering and integration of NetApp All Flash FAS (AFF) and Storage Grid (SG) with the datacenter IT infrastructure system.

The selected candidate will assist with Storage design, documentation, drawings, deployment, and Storage Engineering roles and will need knowledge of the IT systems.

Essential Functions:

- Configure, integrate, and maintain storage array and backup solutions

- Understand storage array and file system concepts like RAID, SAN, NFS, block storage, LUNs

- Integrate with the larger datacenter team to develop necessary storage designs

- Integrate and test software and/or hardware systems in complex IT systems

- Work closely with Engineers and Technicians in a lab environment, providing technical support and troubleshooting

- Author and maintain technical installation, configuration, and update procedures

- Provide engineering technical support for peer teams

- Familiarity with VMware and high-availability virtualized infrastructures

- Ability to maintain COTS Hardware and Software configuration matrix

- Up to 25% travel

Basic Qualification

This requisition is a duel level and may be filled at either a Electrionicsl level or level Principal level.

**Basic Qualifications for level Electronics Engineer:**

+ Bachelors Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years STEM related engineering experience. Or 0 Years with Masters.
+ Familiarity with Storage concepts such as block storage and file systems, RAID, SAN, NAS, and/or backup solutions
+ Experience engineering and testing technical solutions and/or bug fixes in lab environments
+ Experience writing and maintaining technical installation, configuration, and/or update procedures
+ Experience providing engineering technical support
+ Active DoD Secret Clearance
+ Contingent on ability to gain PAR

**Basic Qualifications for level Principal Electronics Engineer:**

+ Bachelors Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years STEM related engineering experience. Or 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.
+ Experience with Storage concepts such as block storage and file systems, RAID, SAN, and/or backup solutions
+ Experience engineering and testing technical solutions and/or bug fixes in lab environments
+ Experience writing and maintaining technical installation, configuration, and/or update procedures
+ Experience providing engineering technical support
+ Experience in storage array design, procurement, configuration, and deployments
+ Experience designing long term storage solutions and backup solutions
+ Active DoD Secret Clearance
+ Contingent on ability to gain PAR

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
+ Familiarity with Agile tools and processes
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
+ Familiarity with Python, Jinja, reST, YAML
+ Experience designing data center storage arrays and backup solutions using NetApp and Commvault

Salary Range: $82,400.00 - $123,600.00Salary Range 2: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
