About the role:

We are currently seeking anElectrical Supervisorto join our Electrical Team at our Twentymile Mine location. The Annual SalaryRange for this position is between $89.200 and $122,650 depending on experience.

Reporting to the Lead Electrical Supervisor. The scope of your role will be to Functions as the on-shift electrical coordinator and monitoring Allen Bradley and Intellution Computer systems to maximize production underground, at the wash plant, and the train loadout system. This role offers a great opportunity for growth and to expand knowledge and skills.

Duties will include:

  • Plans duties for 24 hr electrical activities.

  • Assist electrician/facility technicians in support of the Conspec gas monitoring system.

  • Troubleshoot electrical problems of power system and mining equipment.

  • Responds to requests for help with electrical equipment anywhere on the mine property.

  • Assists and supervises electrical troubleshooting with emphasis on teaching others rather than doing the work.

  • Updates the electric map by hand as soon as new information is learned and creates fan charts every shift.

  • Co-ordinates belt emptying and spotting for idle shift maintenance and assists in belt start up after idle shifts.

  • Create belt downtime and electrical department activity reports on every shift.

  • Insures that all maintenance work is documented with SAP work orders and that all materials requisitioned are charged to the appropriate work orders. Employs the SAP system to provide individual equipment costs, availability, utilization and component history.

  • Assists in determination of repair inventory requirements and coordinating purchase and delivery of repair material within the guidelines of materials management.

  • Augments a continuous improvement program within the electrical group.

  • Do MSHA paperwork for inspection, tests, and electrical map changes.

  • Perform in a project capacity with respect to: Planning work, design and produce drawings, order parts and materials, supervise construction, and assuming responsibility for performance of project.

  • Co-ordinate electricians schedule and approve vacations.

  • Assist in implementation of the Peabody MPAST maintenance program including, but not limited to: documented visual inspections, component tracking and scheduled component replacement, preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance programs (oil samples, therography, vibration analysis, etc.).

About you:

  • Requires typing ability and familiarity with SAP.

  • Power experience must include power transformers, substations, distribution systems, and motor circuits.

  • Have the ability to work all shifts.

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good hearing/Monitor Mine Phone

  • Allen Bradley training a plus.

  • Strong maintenance background and a full understanding of Twentymile equipment and systems.

  • Possess Colorado Mine Foreman papers, MSHA, UG/SF L/M/H Electrical Certification.

Physical requirements:

  • Must have the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.

  • Must have the ability to be seated for up to 4 hours to operate equipment or vehicles.

  • Must have the ability to work from elevated positions, walk/climb up and down stairs/steps and climb on and off equipment and ladders.

  • Must have the ability to lift/raise up to 80 lbs. without mechanical assistance frequently during the course of work shift.

  • Must have the ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions (push, pull, twist, handle), and have rapid reflex movements of the arms and legs and good hand to eye coordination.

  • Must have the ability to work in extreme conditions, including but not limited to changing weather conditions, heat, cold, dust, mud, varying levels of noise from low to high, varying degrees of light and dark, in and around artificial light and in a confined work area.

  • Must have the ability to wear required protective footwear, hearing and eye protection, and other personal protective equipment as required by Company and MSHA.

  • NOTE: This is a "safety sensitive role". Individuals in safety sensitive roles cannot have:

    • an uncontrolled condition which is likely to cause loss of consciousness or ability to control a motor vehicle or other large machinery;

    • an uncontrolled respiratory or cardiac dysfunction likely to interfere with the ability to operate a motor vehicle or other large machinery;

    • a current clinical diagnosis of high blood pressure likely to interfere with ability to operate a motor vehicle or other large machinery;

    • a current or unregulated mental or psychiatric disorder likely to interfere with ability to drive a motor vehicle or other large machinery;

    • impaired hearing (with or without hearing aids) that would prevent the person from hearing crucial safety information or alarms;

    • impaired vision. Individuals must meet the minimum vison requirements of at least 20/40 acuity (Snellen) with or without correction and at least 70 field of vision in horizontal meridian measured.
