Technical Lead
Job Description:
Cash team has an immediate opening for a Technical Lead seeking an exciting and challenging opportunity. The candidate will be involved in solution development in critical application that is used by clients and partners. The candidate will be responsible for evaluating new techniques, practices, or technologies that meet the corporation's strategic goals. Evaluates the bank's current EDP environment in light of new practices in a designated industry or area of expertise. Communicates with systems and partners at all levels about new processes and recommendations. Acts as a business/technical consultant to other partners and coordinates implementation.
High-level Job Duties:
Evaluate and implement solutions in the application that follow architectural best practices and design patterns. Evaluates and makes recommendation on techniques, practices, or technologies that would enhance business needs. Also does work to ensure continuous process improvements.
Consults with partners from systems and other business units regarding new techniques, practices,
or technologies and the impact of proposed and ongoing projects.
Communicates with systems, and partners at all levels in the business unit, and clients about new technology/systems issues that would enhance current practices/maintain system availability and service level agreements.
Acts as the technical or business consultant on project development/production health, new techniques and the implementation of new processes.
Mentor team members on best practices.
Develops or maintains computer programs, including designing, coding, testing, debugging,
and installation as needed.
Conducts feasibility studies and defines and designs system requirements for complex data
processing projects.
Prepares project phase reports, including requirements, feasibility, definition and design. May also review and validate requirements, definition and design to evaluate production impact and support requirements
Skills Requirements:
Strong background in below technologies:
Pivotal Cloud Foundry
Design patterns
Front end web frameworks (i.e. JSF, AJAX)
Application servers and middleware (i.e. J2EE, MQ/Solace)
Enterprise RDBMS Schema and SQL design ( Oracle)
Web Services Development
Team player
Implement project within time & budget.
Excellent communication and writing skills
Polished, patient, consultative in nature
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required
Experience with project feasibility, definition requirements, and design and/or project leadership. Significant background (10-15 years) in the IT industry implementing solutions with best architectural practices and design patterns.
