We are seeking a Test Architect who will help us in the development and execution of software test plans of product components and services. You will lead in debugging software products through the use of tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for our products. You will work and collaborate with incredible colleagues to contribute to assigned projects in a growing team within F5 Networks. The ideal teammate should be passionate, creative, flexible with a strong work ethic and enjoy solving problems with very little direct management. Our team works remotely and is distributed globally, giving you a chance to interact with colleagues from around the world.
The Test Architect provides technical leadership and guidance in all aspects of testing software and sophisticated network systems in a CI/CD development environment. This engineer is a deep technical specialist focusing on the design, implementation, use, and enablement of the testing function and the overall development function.
Assist in designing and delivering the teams overall test methodologies, procedures, and techniques.
Recommends new tools, techniques, and methodologies needed to improve testing efficiency and quality.
Monitor the testing functions efficiency in CI/CD pipeline and adjust based on insights acquired through analysis at all stages of the SDLC
Collaborate with product teams to strategize & align long-term solutions for test automation including roadmap, tools, framework & approach.
Design and develop test automation frameworks/harnesses, and code libraries to support broader test efforts across the organization.
Act as a mentor for other junior members in the organization.
Support the leadership team at the executive level as needed.
Experience with networking and traffic generation tools
Extensive experience testing software and complex network-based systems.
Must have a strong background in networking technologies & protocols like IP, TCP, UDP, DNS, HTTP, etc.
Solid experience with Linux operating systems
Experience with container technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
Experience with GitLab/GitHub or other source code management systems.
Solid experiences with CI/CD and Agile test and software development
Demonstrated skill in using coding standards and being an active participant in code reviews.
Expert in automation frameworks typically used in CI/CD pipelines.
Expert knowledge and extensive experience with network technologies.
Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree; or 12 years and a Masters degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; or equivalent experience.
