Job Description:

Sr. Test Automation Engineer:

GDIT is seeking a Sr. Test Automation Engineer to design, test, and deploy test automation solutions for HETS application (HIPAA Eligibility Transaction System).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform testing, analysis, and technical support for the HETS application

  • Develop test plans and create/enhance test cases

  • Monitor the defect management process

  • Manage changes and execute regression tests

  • Analyze test results, assessing underlying causes of performance issues, and provide corrective action.

  • Assist BESST (Benefit Eligibility Suite of System Transactions) teams and stakeholders with questions pertaining to health benefit eligibility requests and responses received on EDI X12 270/271 transactions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business, or other related discipline

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, to include:

  • Testing Tools: Selenium WebDriver, Junit, TestNG, TestRail, JIRA, SOAP UI, Manual Testing.

  • Bug Tracking Tools: JIRA, Bugzilla, Jira, Bugzilla 2.0, Jenkins.

  • Automation Framework: BDD, Data Driven, TDD

  • Web Debugging Tool: Xpath, Fire path, Firebug, Web debugger

  • Build Tool: Maven, TestNG

  • Databases: SQL Server, MS Access, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres

  • Experience testing Client/Server and Web Based Applications.

  • Experience designing Test Cases, Test Scenarios, Test Scripts and Test reports of manual and automated tests.

  • Experience in Black Box testing, Functional Testing, System testing, Integration testing, Regression testing, Data Driven testing, Back End and Front-End testing and User Acceptance testing.

  • Experience in usage of Testing tools such as TestRail, JIRA, Web Services testing using SOAP UI PRO and REST.

  • Working knowledge of SQL queries to perform back-end testing for data integrity.

  • Working knowledge of Jmeter for performance and load testing

  • Experience in SQA including Manual and Automated testing with tools such as Selenium RC/WebDriver/IDE/Grid, HP Quick Test Professional and Junit/TestNG, Quality Center, JIRA, SOAPUI and Version One.

  • Proficiency using SoapUI for testing Webservices and used various types of assertions such as soap fault, Contains, Soap not fault, X-path etc.

  • Experience designing automation frameworks in test-driven development (TDD).

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of EDI transactions in one or more of the following X12 transactions: 820, 834, 274, 270/271, 276/277 835, 837 P/I

  • Experience with AWS Cloud Management

  • Experience in Waterfall and Agile Scrum SDLC methodology

  • Excellent Communication Skills, describing findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
