Tetra Tech AMT is looking for Tester 3 to support our contract with the Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Work will be performed on-site at 2 Massachusetts Ave, Washington DC. We are looking for a tester to test BLS applications. A programming background is preferred as is experience with automated testing. The tester will work in a team comprised of federal and contractor staff.

The BLS team works directly with the client on integrated teams involving Tetra Tech employees, other contractors, and government staff. So, a successful candidate must possess the following:

• Willing and able to proactively communicate with client and fellow team members

• Willing and able to work independently and proactively solicit feedback and support from team members as needed

• Must be a team player able to support any aspect of the project as needed to ensure project success

Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

• The candidate may serve as a test manager responsible for ensuring that all testing is done according to test plans and testing standards

• The candidate must be able to perform manual testing, write test cases and user stories for functional, regression, performance, and acceptance testing

• The candidate will work closely with developers and other testers in an Agile environment

• The candidate will work closely with Requirements/Business Analysts and Developers to ensure proper testing of program and system specifications

• The candidate will coordinate the planning for testing efforts and the design of multiple test plans, including developing data driving test cases

• The candidate will be responsible for quality assurance, quality control, and system integrity throughout the testing

• The candidate will develop work plans and monitors them for adherence to user requirements and work schedules

• The candidate will conform to standards and quality control procedures for testing and implementation

• Provides guidance to lower level staff

The successful candidate will have:

• 9+ years of experience in testing software applications, including system, regression, acceptance, end to end, and performance testing

• 9+ years of experience creating test data, cases, and scenarios based on the software requirements/User Stories plans

• 9+ of experience in creating, planning, documenting, coordinating, and executing test plans

• 7+ years of experience using Use Cases or user stories to create test cases

• 5+ years of experience with standards and quality control procedures for testing implementation

• 5+ years of experience in an Agile environment

• 5+ years of experience implementing and using continuous integration using different tools i.e. Jenkins is desirable

• 3+ years of experience with SQL DML, able to create simple queries to extract data out of the database to confirm expected results and manage testing data.

• 3+ years of experience with 508 compliance testing for software applications

• Experience with Balsamiq and VersionOne is desirable

• 3+ year of Java programming experience

• 3+ years of selenium tool experience like Katalon Studio, Selenium Web Driver etc.

• 2+ years of experience on Cucumber testing tool to write behavior driven test cases

• Experience writing basic SQL queries to extract data from the Oracle DB to verify test results

• Experience with automated regression test using selenium and cucumber tool
