The Finance, Treasury, Liquidity, Capital, and Risk functions at Citi are consumers of a vast amount of data that spans across the entirety of the firm, cutting across all lines of business, asset classes, and geographies. To meet the needs of these functions, a large, centralized data platform has been developed to enable the acquisition of data from all appropriate sources across the firm, the normalization of data to make it consistent and consumable, the management of data to ensure its complete and accurate, and the distribution of data to the consuming functions that require it. The scale of data that flows through this platform is significant, with thousands of inbound feeds being managed daily, dozens of consuming applications, and a 100+ terabyte data store in the middle. While there have been efforts made to automate integration and regression testing, we need to substantially increase our investment in both automated testing tools and driving a test-first mindset in our requirement management and engineering practices.
The Data Quality Engineering Application Development Automation Test Framework Lead will play a pivotal role in the transformation of the Automated Testing Platform to eliminate human error and reduce business expenses. This role will be responsible for the development and implementation of the data quality engineering automation test framework and provide guidance and oversight to the automated data quality functional test strategy; experience in testing and an innovative thinker is needed to determine proper approach for implementation and ability to own and execute strategy. There is also a need for collaboration to help drive success for business partners and the technology function. To support the transformation of testing, this role requires someone who can drive change and who understands the impacts IT testing has within the technology function, but also the improvements it will drive for our Global Functions partners within Finance and Risk.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Drives innovative testing strategies that support technological changes
+ Develop Centralize Data Quality Test Harness
+ Work closely with Application developers, business team and testing team to identify automation requirements in early stage
+ Help extending test coverage along with creating appropriate tools, utilities, and automation scripts that assist in functional testing and to create test data
+ Translate business process diagrams to system requirements in the development of automation solutions
+ Mentor and provide training global team to become Automation tester
+ Implement Testing strategy and responsible for executing testing strategy in area managed.
+ Requires communication with external parties and negotiate with others at a senior level
+ Management responsibility for a team including management of people, performance evaluation, hiring.
**Qualifications:**
+ 9+ years experience with Java and at least one other programming language
+ 9+ years experience in Java object-oriented design and design pattern
+ 7+ years experience in domain driven design (DDD
+ 7+ years experience in Java DSL /Fluent Interface Implementation
+ 7+ years experience in dependency injection framework
+ 7+ years experience in data persistence framework
+ 5+ years experience in data quality functional testing
+ 5+ years experience in data unit test framework
+ 5+ years experience in microservice and Restful web service testing
+ Experience in Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) environments
+ Strong experience in designing automated testing framework
+ Strong experience in Software Development in Test Engineering (SDET) and hands-on development experience
+ Strong experience in Strong experience in Enterprise level of Test Harness Development
+ Experience in managing software engineering teams
+ Experience with CI/CD, Test Driven Development, DevOps, Gitbub, BitBucket, code branching and merging
+ Strong communication skills and proficiency in explaining complex technical concepts to senior management
+ Comfortable operating in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
+ Financial Service industry experience
+ Strong hands-on programming and scripting skills
**Education:**
+ Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially masters degree and managerial experience
