Job Summary

B&A is looking for a UI/UX Visual Designer to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a great team while supporting the US Courts.

 

Responsibilities




  • UI/UX Design:




    • Understand user interface patterns and best practices across both mobile app and responsive web design.



    • Validate code is built as designed during projects, according to brand standards, style guides and pattern libraries.



    • Develop wireframes and mockups for web pages and new features using UI and UX fundamentals. (Bonus: Adobe XD)



    • Perform system testing and report bugs.



    • Build out web pages using HTML and CSS Bootstrap framework.



    • Conduct user interviews and review customer satisfaction reports for areas of improvement.









 




  • Graphic Design:




    • Create digital and print content including graphics/icons, templates, posters, flyers, brochures, PowerPoint presentations, infographics, charts, and visuals.



    • Manage graphic assets library and provide team support in locating visuals.



    • Review all documentation from a visual perspective.












  • Videography:




    • Identify training video development needs



    • Collaborate with training specialist to draft video outlines, scripts, and storyboards.



    • Develop and update training videos.









 

Education and Experience




  • A bachelors degree in related field and minimum of 6 years of experience of which at least three years must be specialized.



  • Education and experience requirements may be substituted with a masters degree with 4 years of general experience of which at least two years must be specialized OR no degree and ten years of general experience of which at least eight years must be specialized





 

Required Skills




  • Proficient in TechSmith Camtasia and Snagit. (Bonus: Adobe Premiere)



  • Experience working with HTML and CSS Bootstrap framework



  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver. (Bonus: After Effects)



  • Understanding of accessibility and 508-compliance standards.



  • Ability to provide clear, articulate rationale for design choices and approach.



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. (Bonus: Visio)





Other duties may include:




  • Draft publications for judiciary and the public on internal/external websites, social media, and email.



  • Support development of bimonthly newsletters to judiciary and public audiences. 



  • Develop technical documentation for print and web.



  • Provide quality review and proofreading for team members and stakeholders.



  • Generate monthly metrics reports and provide insight for data-driven recommendations.



  • Review Google analytics data for internal website performance.



  • Research new software capabilities and provide recommendations for enhancement.



  • Provide support for team members and stakeholders experiencing minor technical issues.



  • Collaborate directly with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.
