Analyst/Associate - Global Markets - COO, Strategic Advisory & Execution

**Job Description:**



The Global Markets Strategy (GM) team is responsible for supporting the strategy, initiatives and projects of the head of GM and its leadership team. The team works in partnership with leadership and key support partners on high impact projects covering the following 4 key areas:



+ **Strategy:** Examples include Global Markets 3 year strategy for BAC Management and Board of Directors (BOD), BOD business updates/special topics discussions, regional strategies, line of business strategies, cross-line of business projects, markets updates

+ **Senior Management Presentations:** Examples include Leadership / Management offsites, special business topics, strategy presentations to the Regulators, Rating Agencies and Investors and organizational strategy communication (BofA senior leaders, LOBs, etc)

+ **Business Growth & Optimization:** Examples include Growth Plans for LOBs by initiatives, business assessments & analysis, business reviews including strategic initiatives KPI performance tracking, efficiency projects to drive operational excellence, etc.

+ **Market & Competitor Intelligence:** Examples include market trends and outlooks, competitor benchmarking, external data provider analysis, competitive opportunity and gap analysis, etc.



The Strategy team has personnel on the ground in the U.S. and London. The teams organizational clients and connections include:



+ President of GM and BofA COO

+ GM projects and deliverables for BofA CEO and Board of Directors

+ Global Markets: Global Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities, and Global Equities

+ Business Support Connections (COO, Finance, Human Resources, Risk/Controls, Investor Relations, Corporate Strategy, Communications & Marketing)



**Role Overview**



Key contributor to support Global Markets to drive business strategy work across the platform. Top candidate will have proven experience in strategy consulting, advisory or finance for a part of or combination of sales & trading/investment banking/commercial banking, ideally with an understanding of the overall Markets businesses. Responsibilities include:



+ Assist with formulating strategies and presentations to help Global Markets senior management with running the business and developing strategic plans

+ Work with Business Partners on specific assignments associated with driving business with clients, platform improvements and drivers of business activity

+ Key participant in efforts on strategic projects, cross-platform initiatives, management presentations, market diagnostic, competitor analysis, special projects and various business support activities

+ Key point person on gathering and developing data and information to analyze size, composition and trajectory of the markets, whether by region, by product or by client type. Utilize business intelligence work to provide management with useful analysis and insights as well as shape strategic direction

+ Key point person on key metrics tracking and other data to support strategic initiatives & progress assessments, responsible growth and risk framework. Also drive materials for quarterly meetings with Regulators, Board of Directors, Rating Agencies and Investor Conferences



Core Competencies Expected of Candidates:



+ 1-3 years of business experience with strong educational background

+ Ability to provide strategic thinking, advice and insights to Markets leaders

+ Results-oriented on getting projects done with high quality output

+ Strong communication skills with expected ability to present analysis at multiple levels (team to executive level)

+ Advanced analytical competency and creative aptitude

+ Polished presentations and succinct, impactful messaging (e.g., PowerPoint, Other Tools)

+ Active technical proficiency to manipulate large quantities of client and financial data (e.g., an intimate familiarity with Excel, etc.), in conjunction with the ability to understand and interpret such data
