We are looking for a talented Application DBA to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for our Corporate Business Segment. This is a remote position / your remote home office within the United States.




In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:




  • Develop information systems by studying operations; design, develop and install software solutions; support and develop a software team of developers responsible for building new and supporting existing applications.



  • Prioritize well, communicate clearly, have a consistent track record of delivery, and have excellent software engineering skills.



  • Creative engineering balanced with high quality and a customer focus.



  • Work across multiple facets of a project with multiple responsibilities at the same time.



  • Strong analytic capability and the ability to create innovative solutions.




To be successful in this role you will need the following:




  • College, university, or equivalent degree in computer science, engineering or related subject, or relevant experience equivalent.



  • Significant experience working as a software engineer with the following knowledge and experiences is highly preferred:
    - Working in Agile environments;
    - Fundamental IT technical skill sets;
    - Taking a system from coping requirements through actual launch of the system;
    - Communicating with users, other technical teams and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates and meet production deadlines;
    - Professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.



  • Minimum 5 years production system experience with database (SQL and NoSQL) design and development and data processing pipelines or ETL (extract, transform, load) systems in Cosmos DB, Mongodb, SqlServer, Data lake, etc



  • Experience with production metrics systems inclusive of alarming/alerting and tuning notifications/thresholds; good experience analyzing application and infrastructure logs in Azure, AWS, Salesforce and other cloud solutions



  • Understanding best practices, use cases and standards for any of the following: AWS RDS, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Oracle, MySql, CosmosDB, Databricks, Postgres












Compensation and Benefits




Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
