AECOM Hunt is seeking to hire an MEP Assistant Project Manager to support our construction aviation project in the New York City Metropolitan area.

Job Description:

  • Under moderate supervision assists the Project Management team with management administration on a moderate size and scope project, or a portion of a large size and scope project, following set guidelines for completion of tasks.

  • Employee receives moderate to limited supervision working from objectives set by supervisor. Employee organizes and carries out most assignments in accordance with standard practices, instructions, or previous training. Employee handles some unusual situations independently.

  • May interface with design team.

  • May work closely with BIM team and use modelling software.

  • May interact with Superintendents to address project questions/issues.

  • Assists with and monitors change orders

  • May assist with regulatory compliance and financial reporting

  • Review project costs and scheduling to ensure completion of project within budget and in conformance with contract.

  • Work with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate

  • Attend meetings and report on project tasks as needed

  • May provide technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 2 years of construction experience in the field of aviation working for a large GC or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working for a large general contractor.

  • Experience working on a large aviation project.

  • Experience with construction documentation and computer programs.

  • Thorough knowledge of project engineering and construction project management documentation.

  • Experience supporting large projects and organizing documentation for construction teams.

  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Additional Information:

  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.

  • This position is located in the New York City area, relocation will not be provided.
