The Disney Media Entertainment Distribution team is seeking an Associate Account Manager, Platform Distribution Sales who will be an outstanding addition to our team, which has responsibility for distribution of content for the best brands in the business including ABC, ESPN, Disney+, and Hulu. Our team works with leading media companies like Apple, Roku, Comcast, Charter, Twitter, and many more. Be a part of the team that negotiates complex distribution agreements for Disneys linear networks, direct-to-consumer products, TV everywhere applications, video on-demand services, and social media licensing.
The right person for this role has proven organization, communication and analytical skills and is an individual that can manage various responsibilities of content licensing and audience growth partnerships including: business development, executing partnership strategies, managing processes, understanding contractual compliance as well as successfully managing accounts with internal constituents, including Content, Marketing, Technology, Finance and Legal departments to successfully drive Disneys content distribution priorities. Finally, they/she/he thinks big, learns quickly, and approaches everything with enthusiasm.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding solution oriented, problem-solving skills to create mutually beneficial outcomes for The Walt Disney Company and will possess strong acumen in the media landscape.
**Responsibilities**
+ Participate in negotiations with assigned accounts and potential new entrants; working closely with Content, Marketing, Strategy, Legal, Finance, Disney Streaming and other relevant business units
+ Collaborate with business units across Disney on account strategy and coordinate communication among the respective constituencies, including: advertising sales, public relations, investor relations, legal, technology, finance and consumer marketing
+ Collaborate closely with distribution partner to support all stages of the distribution lifecycle (e.g. subscriber acquisition, engagement/retention, technical cooperation, joint marketing initiatives, roadmap planning, etc.)
+ Compile, summarize, and present complex business updates based on account activity and needs of the team
+ Assist in growing new business opportunities across assigned accounts
**Basic Qualifications**
+ Minimum of 1 year of sales, partnership, business development or business affairs experience
+ Ability to think strategically and problem solve
+ Attention to detail
+ Foster and maintain important internal and external relationships and coordinate communication across groups
+ Understand and execute tasks with minimal supervisor intervention
+ Ability to conduct research on distribution developments, services and monitor competitive activities, while identifying needs and interests of customers in order to drive new business
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Media industry experience
+ Understanding of the platform distribution industry and familiarity with the Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution sales process
+ Deal negotiation and contract experience preferred
+ Advanced ability to transmit and receive complex information
+ Self-starter who can set personal objectives for sales call activity, follow-ups and ongoing correspondence with affiliate organizations
